Note that in 1944/45 ukrainians murdered 100 000 Poles in brutal way (Wolyn Masacre). So appreciate Poles that they help Ukraine despite of that.

I'm proud to be Polish and also I've never been more proud to be a teacher. I currently teach Ukrainian children who fled the war at my school.

In Bangladesh this is not happened. We gave shelter to 1.2 million Rohingya refugees from Myanmar but they are living totally separated places.
I like the idea of Ukrainian schools being set up teaching students in that language so that when one day they return home their culture and identity is preserved. If Ukraine becomes permanently depopulated and Ukrainian children lose their language and culture then Russia has won.

Both + they are both slavic languages so there's some similarity though there will still be a lot to learn including a different alphabet (though many may have already learned the basics of the roman alphabet). It'll be harder for kids in non-slavic language countries when it comes to language, but the alternative of staying in Ukraine is even worse. It sucks all around. So it's a matter of what's relatively less sucky. Thanks to Putin.
They’re both Slavic languages. Even though Ukrainian is from the eastern branch and Polish from the western one, when they are speaking slowly, they can understand each other in basic conversation. According to some studies by linguists, Ukrainian is more similar to Slovak (west slavic language) than to Russian (which is from the same branch as Ukrainian)
