I'm not afraid to tell my friends that I enjoy Thomas, and since 2018 I've been collecting older toys from the ERTL, Take Along, Tomy and Trackmaster 1 eras. Yes, I'm disgusted by what Mattel has done to the blue E2, but I'll always remember the good era from Seasons 1 to 7, even though I don't care for 6 and 7.
Is it allowed to be said that its kind of sad that people who say that “thomas is a dumb baby show stop whining it isn’t for you”, are the same people that don’t even watch the show and they don’t research why the fans are upset like any fan of spongebob or something
What's worse? Being called a baby or being called autistic? Narrated Thomas is autism friendly and loved by those on the spectrum. It might because those who are autistic love trains sometimes.
Exactly thomas was something special it really was meant for all ages and the effort put in to it omg even in the late model seasons I still watched because it became just an amazing special effects showcase matel should not own thomas or many things they do cause i gather they really want to go bankrupt to the point of self sabotage idk but there ruing every thing even there own thing barbie like come on man yea there awful but thomas is great and what it was always will be
I was the same in school. I never used to say I liked trains unless it was to someone I really trusted. It took me until I was 22 years old to admit it openly.
Thanks dude this video has really made me feel good being a thomas fan and I wanted to make a documentary on Thomas tank engine/railway series for a high school media production class but I was too embarrassed to do it but now I'm gonna do it thanks my good man.
same here when i was little the other kids watched it but not as much as me i didnt want any nursery rhymes i legit walked to my mum and said "can you get me off this area of videos?" or something like that and she brought me back to my thomas the tank engine on youtube and i sort of just grew up with thomas the tank engine luckily i have friends who dont make fun of me about it they even have atleast one thomas train another thing, i highly agree with you 7:14 - 9:20 i hate what mattel is doing to our poor blue tank engine and i hope something puts a stop to mattel's rampage of destruction of what they call a good show
Thomas would be so angry if he knew what Mattel did, he'd be steamed. There's a fanfiction story in which someone showed him the trailer and his cross face is on the cover.
Growing up, I didn't have cable. So I had discs of the HIT Entertainment Thomas and some of the model versions (but those were kind of scratched up). That was the only Thomas that I had. When I started making money, I bought The Great Race because I thought it looked interesting. I watched it and I was in utter disgust by how everyone sounded (except Gordon). I watched it again and got used to it but I was surprised how much had changed. But it isn't my fault, we didn't have cable TV. It's like bringing a kid from the 1920s into 2022 and wanting them to adapt to everything. So now, I'm catching up on all the Thomas I've missed, and I've missed more than I thought. ^^"
My cousins said Thomas and friends was a baby show but it was more than just a baby show because It has some darker and grittier episodes that is why I love Thomas and friends I totally agree with troublesome junction
That's why our little blue tank engine isn't another baby cartoon like Salty's Lighthouse and Chuggington: because they had the balls to take huge risks in terms of tone, concept and story. I mean, in Seasons 4 and 5 alone, the golden Classic seasons, they dealt with staying calm under pressure and possible paranormal presences in Rusty & The Boulder, the concept of death and loss of family in Escape, Rusty To The Rescue, Tenders For Henry, Stepney Gets Lost, Put Upon Percy, Thomas, Percy & Old Slow Coach, natural and consequential disasters in Bye George!, Toby & The Flood, Cranky Bugs and Something In The Air, abandoned and left to rot in Oliver's Find and Toby's Discovery, the presence of the possible unknown and unanswered questions in Duncan Gets Spooked and Haunted Henry, attempting to control dangerous situations without help in Busy Going Backwards, and outright threats of possible replacement in Horrid Lorries. Thomas really was beginning to rise into the ranks of Tugs and Thunderbirds in terms of not only stunning model visuals, but also the plots and stories in general. Unfortunately, Thomas & The Tragic FailRoad was released in 2000, and lead the franchise into it's nosedive into the ground ever since. Yeah, we briefly had Brenner and McCue for an entire era before the horrid BWBA changes came, but that again was unfortunately brief, because Mattel noticed declining sales on Thomas merchandise, so they begin to shoehorn the entire franchise into a dumb, dumpster fire "educational" haha funny sh*tty kids cartoon, starting with the Great Race, which wasn't bad, but could've been better. But when they kick Edward and Henry, two STAPLE characters from the original source material, off the show and hastily replace them with 2 new copy + paste females that are boring, that's drawing a line
I’m 29 but at 19 I had a Thomas phase thing and still enjoy Thomas today. Mom was worried. Turns out I’m on the spectrum. I’m happy being me and doing what I want, it makes me happy. Other people are not happy with it but I can’t say they’re any happier with themselves than with me or a toy. Keep on shuntin’ .
I was always bullied for liking Thomas ever since I was in primary school, not just Thomas, even other things I like such as Super Smash Bros and Angry Birds etc... But I enjoy them and that's the most important thing, what others think doesn't matter.
Bwba and the all engines go reboot is basically Mattel taking everything you love about Thomas the tank engine and completely wiping their asses with it.
2:47 I sort of know that feeling most people that I know don't like Thomas I did have two friends that did like Thomas but then they soon forgot about Thomas
I really like Thomas and I am watching the original, I know when I was 3, it did scare me a lot but I actually did give him a chance that one day I would enjoy him. And I do. I’m really sad that the franchise got into the wrong hands of toy companies that make baby stuff. It’s probably too late to try to go back making models and stuff
It's ok to like a kid shows even if your not a kid everyone has their likes and dislikes it's alright to be different I like Thomas and friends Idc if I'm almost in 5th grade I keep it to myself bc I'm afraid that people would make fun of me since I'm almost in 5th grade almost turning 11 but it's ok to be open or closed about your opinions everyone is different and that's ok Edit| I tell my bsf and she doesn't really care much|
The thumbnail is one of my most beautiful and amazing scenes of Thomas and friends
@Thomas the take along engine ye I miss those days
“They are into hang out with friends” best quote of the century
Lesson: Ignore normies and do what you WANT to do.
So true.
I am sorry to hear that happened, Duck. It is true that we can always fall back on the Classic series.
Is the Classic series seasons 1-7 anymore?
@@Ethan-ey4jx Yes, S1-S7 is the classic series.
My Favorite Toy Company MATTEL Shouldn't Mess Up Thomas In The First Place.

Mattel just took a massive shit on the legacy of Thomas with bwba and the reboot.
But seasons 6 and 7 are factually Classic series seasons

My mom called them "toy trains" in the model era.
Hey cousin. I love this video because you express how much you love Thomas and friends trains. Hope you're doing well and staying safe.
I can agree with you Troublesome Junction because I had to go through what you are going through right now about this shows.

I feel just the same. Until recently, I didn't even dare to tell myself that I love Thomas (as it was in the beginning).
Good, No dislikes

Yeah I am a closet "Thomas Foamer" and person of color. Its an interesting boat to be on. Grew up on Shining Time and the VHS tapes in the early 90s
I love this video you made me
feel happy
Um I cared about it just as much as u did dude I grew up with that show every day
Thomas fans for life y'all
Mattel said we don't care about Thomas or you
I can relate to you
my friend said something about my kiddie version
Bakugan and youtube in the first grade??? How old (young) are you?
More common than you think. I was only 5 when I first watched youtube.
I am getting bullied that i liked thomas
