I am going to start college in the fall. Originally didn’t have much of a plan. Since then I have looked into nursing, discovered CRNAs, and am now laser focused on a goal. Now I want to do everything I can to get in. My state only has one school, and only accepts 10 a year. It will be hard but I’m excited. Your videos have helped me so much!
Currently a little over a year in school and the idea of completely abandoning all things outside of CRNA school (relationships, hobbies) has haunted me. Almost made me not do school because in order to stay mentally sound, I have to be well rounded. You are so right! So far I’ve been able to maintain my relationships and some hobbies that I love. I’m a happier person for it!
My wife and I are concerned about us getting pregnant before or during CRNA school. I think its possible and I appreciate you bringing that up for the would be Dads.
Thank you for your continued advice. Currently working on improving my gpa. I have pretty much everything else covered, so now just focusing on taking as many classes to improve it.
I’ve heard from some others that if you fail out of a program that there’s a slim chance another program will accept you. Have you heard this or have any insight on this?
Thank you so much!!! I have a one year old and was told I'd never get to see her for 3 years if I were to go into school. It was heartbreaking to hear that so it's kept me from applying. How did you manage B and your family time? I don't want my baby to feel abandoned while I'm in school
Hi Rihanna, I’m a CRNA in North Carolina going on 2 years. In January, I’m starting a 1099 job. I know that is what you do and hear that your husband is an accountant. Any advice on setting up a business, as well as how to sort out each paycheck so I’m leaving enough to pay my taxes? Plus putting in for retirement etc. And did you get your malpractice through AANA?
Can you make a video or something that shows how you scheduled yourself. I start in august and that is something that is freaking me out. I just want to make sure I manage my time well.
Hi! Thank you for this!! Quick question, what ICU experience do you think is the best? I worked Neuro icu as a CNA for a while, but I’m considering either that, MICU, SICU, or NICU for my ICU experience
I am an intensive care nurse in Egypt. I want anesthesia in America, and I have a GPA of 3. Are there any chances that I will be accepted into any school or difficult, and how long is the course?
Hey, I just had a question for you so hopefully you see this. I have been working towards a bachelor's in nutrition and have a year and a half left of school. The plan was always to become a personal trainer/nutritionist. I just recently realized that this isn't what I am wanting to do and have been strongly considering nursing. After talking to academic advisors they said to get into the nursing program where I am at it would probably take a year then another two years for the allotted nursing classes bringing my total to 3 years. I found a community college that I can go to and get done in 2 years. My question is can I work at an ICU with a BSN from a community college? Also, do you know if CRNA or DNAP schools are less likely to take someone on who has their BSN from a community college? Also, the community college I would attend is accredited.
Yes you can work in an ICU with a BSN from any accredited nursing school. You're smart to go to a CC and pay less in tuition!! Go for it!! Don't worry about CRNA school and having gone to a CC. Admission is based on so much more than that, trust me. Good luck!!!!
You cannot get a BSN from a community college. BSN’s only come from universities. If you were to go to a community college, you would get an Association Degree in Nursing.
I feel better watching this. I have a toddler turning 3 this sept. And my baby #2 is due this july. I was worried.. i wanted to apply but im afraid i wont have time for my babies.
You need to go to college first. Major in Nursing. After your BSN, you need at least 1yrs of ICU, then you can apply to CRNA programs. Good job doing this while still a high school student, you are ahead of the game!
Hlo ma'am, could you pls do a video on "how can an international rn(uk) apply for crna and also what are the requirements needed" i did my bsc and msc here in uk. So im planning to study crna.
Thank you for being encouraging!! There are a lot of crnas that act like CRNA school is nearly impossible and are very discouraging!
You're welcome! ♡
I interview for a CRNA school on Wednesday! I wouldn’t be here without your videos. Thank you for all the good information and education!
That is so exciting! Good luck!!
how did it go?
I was super nervous and didn’t get accepted. I’m trying again though!
@@ellib467 what kind of questions did they ask?
@@ellib467 yeah how was the questions

As an anesthesiologist myself, I can confirm that CRNAs being helpful is a myth.

Probably my favorite video that youve posted!! Thank you so much! I am currently a newer nurse and I am approaching one year in the ICU! :)

I did not get married or have kids in CRNA school. I blame that entirely on the program.
Rhianna, you are smarter than most. :)
Thank you for another great video!
Thank you for this. Makes me feel a lot better and gives me hope

Thank you so much and others for giving us preparation and information about this field
Love your videos. You’re such an inspiration. Thank you so much for all the information!

Great idea! I've made a bunch of day/week in the life videos that you might find helpful!

So glad to hear the free time myth debunked.
Do u have a video about how you studied? Like a specific study schedule?
Yes I have several! Here are 2 of my favorites!

Part of the reason why I watch her videos apart from the subject is learning and enjoying her pure American accent.

i'm in the process of applying to CRNA school now. Is there anyway I could email some additional questions?
Is a 3.5 out of the competitive range?
Now that you’re done with CRNA school, can you tell us what program you went to?
👏 👏
Can I apply with PICU experience?
Future CRNA here. I have a question about Math courses needed for CRNA school? Algebra 1 and 2 and maybe Calc? Thanks for the encouragement! 🙏
Def no Calc. Look at admission requirements from the specific schools you are planning to apply to 🍭
Can I get into CRNA school if I didn't do Physical Science but only Life Science during High School ?
