      I can see why that’s confusing. I think it all comes down to watching their actual skillset and how they approach the game.

    Nice work. My top 5 is Sarr, Clingan, Knecht, Castle, Risacher.
    Totally agree with your take on Buzelis. He's OK, but I just don't see him as translating to the NBA. Not sure why he keeps getting mocked so high (seen him at 4 in some mocks). Topic is an interesting one - I think he will make it. Maybe not straight away, but he will end up being a good player, so would probably put him in the top 10.

      I like the Knect in the top 5 take. I could totally see it.
      Yeah I don’t know I obviously hope I’m wrong about Buzelis but I just don’t personally see it. Obviously certain teams make it easier and harder but still. Just wait till my mock draft tomorrow though. Obviously doing what I think could happen so I have him going pretty high.

    I’ve been getting really into the NBA draft atmosphere got a buddy that I did a 2-3hr FaceTime talking about every prospect and doing a co mock draft with him it was probably the most I’ve ever had nd lately I have been taking all these rumors into consideration to see which prospects have like essentially a draft promise
    I would say the draft is most likely to go
    1.Risacher Hawks
    2.Sarr Wizards
    3.Reed Rockets if they don’t trade the pick Clingan if pick gets traded or not sure if Nets
    4.Reed if the Rockets pick is traded if not Castle or Buzelis
    5.Buzelis or Cody Williams
    6.Castle or Clingan or Knecht
    Not what I would do just what I feel is consensus draft starts at pick6-7 with Blazers probably favoring Knecht and Cody Williams
    5.

    I have a good feeling about Reed Sheppard. He suffers from a lot of the criticism that Steph Curry did when he was drafted. An undersized SG who isn't a PG. Can he be a facilitator? How will he do defensively with that body? I'm not saying Sheppard will also be the greatest shooter that ever played in the NBA and who changed the way the game was played. No. But I think his shooting and style of play will translate very well if he ends up in the right system. In 4 years he could be a top-3 player from this draft.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  3 місяці тому +1

      Oh for sure, I think in the right system almost any of these dudes could be little hidden gems. I think I know what he needs to find success, but to what extent does a team have to sacrifice to give him that opportunity? There is a really interesting utility metric we use to kinda look at this stuff.

  • @____Riley____
    @____Riley____ 3 місяці тому +2

    What are your thoughts on Isaiah Crawford out of Louisiana Tech? I've been watching a lot more of his film and I think I'm at the point now where I'd be pretty happy if the Jazz took him with their pick 32. Even though he's a bit older at 22, I just think he does everything at least good.
    I see him as someone who can develop into an OG Anunoby type. He has great defense, has been a 40% 3-point shooter the last two years in college and his shot looks really smooth (it is a bit slow, but that can be worked on). He's a smart player and a really solid passer, a good athlete and he can even handle the ball a bit, but not at a level yet that will allow him to do it in the NBA.
    I just don't see why teams wouldn't want to take him as high as even an early 2nd round pick.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah so with guys like him, teams write them off pretty quickly because they are in between on positions. He’s not skilled/quick enough to be a guard, but not big enough to be a forward.
      A lot of those things he does do well like you mentioned. But the college game is just such a different world. In the NBA he would have to go against a prime athlete every night and I personally just don’t know how he would compete with them.
      Doesn’t mean it’s impossible! These guys just often don’t work so teams are pretty sour on em.

    • @____Riley____
      @____Riley____ 3 місяці тому +1

      @@_AVC_ His size honestly doesn't seem like it would be much of an issue since he's 6'6 220 with a 7'0 wingspan he seems a similar size to a Naji Marshall/ Grant Williams. He would be a pretty typical size to be able to play the 3 pretty easily and even as a smaller 4 especially if his shot is able to translate and since he has great defensive instincts. You could question how well his speed/atheticism might translate to the NBA, since he looks like a good athlete but not a great one. But still since he has such a rounded out skillset I could see him being a absolute steal in the second round.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  3 місяці тому +1

      @@____Riley____ On my “official report” (I don’t know why it’s so hard to measure mfs consistently 😂) I got 6’5. But regardless that doesn’t really change it. He’s still just not really athletic enough to guard NBA wings.
      So like his ideal outcome is essentially Josh Hart. But there just aren’t many of them out there because it takes a very particular combination of skills to achieve that role. I just don’t see someone biting on that. Hope he becomes something though!

    • @____Riley____
      @____Riley____ 3 місяці тому +1

    With Giddy getting swapped straight up for Caruso, with no picks thrown in, or players to be named later, or cash considerations, just man on man, the swap makes many ask the obvious question: Who would win if, instead of being NBA wings, Giddy and Caruso were both Rock-'Em, Sock-'Em Robots? And how did you decide which one knocks the other's block off? Plus, how many rounds would it last? Thank You for giving your take on this important matter.

      @thebackpackerschannel3580 3 місяці тому +1

      @@_AVC_- Good question, because Giddy has big hair to help cushion punches thrown his way, it's been determined that, not only would it be fair that Caruso wears his headband, but it would be acceptable if he wears TWO headbands, in order to even things out.
