I've wanted to live in England for years, I love the architecture you've shown in Mayfair and along the streets. The amazing long centuries of history and historical architecture is enthralling. I'd love to be able to walk the London streets and just take it all in.

Sadly, areas like this that have retained their lovely original architecture have become quite rare now in London. Huge skyscrapers are everywhere, ruining much of the original beauty. Much of London now looks more like Manhattan.
@@carlgrove8793 A lot of the areas in the East are more modern, some areas around Liverpool and Spitalfields are also modern. But you should check out my videos more, I explore these "original" London style areas like Kensington, Richmond, Hampstead, Chelsea, Mayfair etc.
@@thewalkinglondon I certainly will. I think that some of the more expensive areas have been able to resist the skyscraper approach, whereas poorer areas haven't had the chance!

The architecture of these buildings is full of history.
Its said that rich Arabs own over 30% of these houses. Also many rich Russians live here. They have known where to invest.
Together with the fact that London is too one of major financial centers in the world, this combo makes London the Place to live.
Just tge English weather is a drawback for some. But these pll living here can easily escape by private jets to tropics. Where they money is too.
They dont pay much taxes here. Haha.
