We used to make these for the kids' teachers each Christmas. We put the fabric circle on top of the round sealing piece BEFORE we screwed the lid on. I may just have to make some this Christmas! Thanks for reminding me of such a fun Christmas memory.
Hi MayMay! I was introduced to Russian Tea when I was a high school student. I was a teachers aide and one a few weeks before our school Christmas break, teacher brought a jar of the tea in for she and I to drink while I took care of some of the extra books with her. Every Christmas since then, I have made this mix.... Im 62, graduated in 1971, married in 1972, my husband and I love our times drinking it...
I've personally never had it until today!!!! saw your video ...loved it!! made a batch and I'm now drinking it..the only change I made was subbing the cloves for nutmeg....this also fits into my Christmas theme ....Handmade… TFS this maymay!!!! its now a staple in this lady's house!!!!
Oh my I love this. You had to use an owl mug and then my favorite candy in the bottom. All my favorites all in one. Never heard of this tea before but am going to make this and try it.
I remember making this tea with a friend when I was in my 20's. I no longer can drink hotdrinks with to much sugar so, I won't be making this, but do remember how good it tasted on a chilly day
I use Lipton Instant Unsweetened Lemon Flavored Tea instead of Country Time if you prefer . I like your Valentine Treat Box with border punch to hold a plastic bag full of the tea. Nice to hear of Russian Tea again!! :-)
My daughter's baby sitter in Germany introduced us to this tea. We make a batch every winter as it is so calming when you have the sniffles or a sore throat. Very cute and pretty presentations. Hugs
Maymay I so appreciate all the work you do to bring us these videos. My sweet momma, who is with Jesus now, use to make this for us at Christmas time. She called it spiced tea. Love those sweet memories.
I wouldve so loved to have made this as gifts for my family as half of them are Russian decent but alas the shipping alone to the UK is exorbitant!!!! Such a shame as it looks like it could be so tasty too. hugs Tibby xxxx
this is sooo awesome. I have been looking for something interesting and different to incorporate into my random acts of kindness gifts (in an effort to help teach my kids about giving rather than receiving) and this would be perfect. Love the way they are decorated, this was a super cool cute video. TYFS
Fun! This will be a good opportunity to practice with my Explore by using the print feature to print the recipes/how-to's on the tags! Thanks for sharing!
Such a terrific idea. I will be incorporating this gift this year! Thanks. Where did you get the big black mat? I have the making memories ones, but yours look really big.
What a lovely idea for a Christmas gift , although living in the UK I have never seen some of those ingredients before so not quite sure if I can give it a go which is a shame 😩 sounds lovely Tfs hugs Sarah xx
Typically it is for hot drinking but you could try it cold too. I would think it would be good except maybe the cinnamon and cloves. They may not dissolve well. Thanks!
+Deborah Brooks (Debbie) So very sorry, just finished watching your video and saw it was for hot water. Thanks, I am going to try it first and see if I like it.
@Maymay made it crafts, such a neat lil gift idea. you should make more "gift" videos :) thank you! this would go far, for not to much money. thank you!

Could I use my explore 1 to cut the fabric?
I was wondering what cute but simple thing I could do for my mail lady, UPS, Fedex, and whoever else I need a small gift for. Perfect!
What exactly is Tang?Substitute plz?
Don't mean to be thick, but is it 2 to 3 cups of ice tea OR 2/3rds of a cup
@Maymay made it crafts, such a neat lil gift idea. you should make more "gift" videos :) thank you! this would go far, for not to much money. thank you!
Hi. a lady was looking for some of this tea at a craft show. i didn't have any. she called it spice tea. How much u sell it for.
What is tang?
+Evangelia Papacheimona Tang is orange flavored drink, a lot like the Country Time but orange flavored.
Girl Scout worthy. Definitely going to do this at our next meeting. TFS.
