    The 30 cups of caffeine story is a lot worse apon closer inspection. The average cup of coffee has 80mg of coffee. 30 of those equals 2,400mg of coffee. The amount of caffeine to have for it to become toxic energy to cause major issues or 1,000 mg. This person a little over is doubling the max caffeine intake. I've had too much caffeine at once and under the limit and my heart beat so rapidly I felt like it was going to explode. The person is going to kill themselves at this rate.

    Take these stories, make them half as bad and you'll get a hospital show as iconic as House and more popular than Scrubs.
    And people will complain the scenarios are too exaggerated and unrealistic. When they're shown half as bad.
    The Tennesse one reminds me of a story of how a beach show, I think it was Baywatch. Struggled immensely to find people to stand in the background of the scenes.
    Cause 99% of the people were WAY overweight, fat, awful.
    They couldn't have a bunch of these fat people. I think they even tried this in an early screening and the people were off put by the amount of overweight walruses.
    I don't get how nobody can every just stop and think "something is wrong" when they relate their bodily issues to Fat Bastard.

Nobody connected the pain in her stomach to hunger because no one thought anyone could be that stupid. No one asked what she was using the cream for as they figured it was just something she needed. So once the spanish doctor asked, the story finally came out. It could have been asked through a translator just was well if one of the specialists thought to ask.

    Not a doctor but story number 4 made me laugh. Worked in long term care and had a patient the house doc was looking to send out for a full GI work up due to complaints of chronic digestive upset. When I explained that the patient eats nothing and drinks nothing but 20-30 cups of coffee with lots of sweetened creamer the doc’s mind was blown and agreed with me that just MAYBE that was a large part of the problem. Told the patient they weren’t getting the referral to GI until we had a documented 2 weeks with 8 cups of coffee or less a day, at least 32oz of water each day, and three square meals each day. Patient was livid but agreed to try it. What do you know, all the GI issues resolved.

Not only do you have to have a strong grasp of multiple languages, but you'd need a working grasp of medical science, know what all the equivalent terms are in both languages, and the raw ability to translate in real time, often while one person is panicking, in severe pain, or otherwise not thinking clearly.

    • @leslieschott754
      @leslieschott754 Рік тому +10

      It is a drink with electrolytes. Many athletes drink it during practices and sports games to replace those lost in exercise and sweat, especially in hot and/or humid weather.

    • @onionbubs386
      @onionbubs386 Рік тому +5

      Yeah, what they said ^ it's meant to be used after exercising, since it's still pretty high in sugar, but some people have it as just a regular beverage without exercising, so it can be unhealthy too

    • @plainoldpants3783
      @plainoldpants3783 Рік тому +4

      Like the other two replies are saying, it's a drink for athletics and exercise. It's almost all water, but it contains carbohydrates (sugar), and electrolytes. The electrolytes can be important because drinking too much pure water can dilute your body's electrolytes, but unfortunately the majority of people who care about the electrolytes have no idea what they're talking about. But in summary, Gatorade is sports water, which is perfectly okay for athletics and exercise, that uneducated people drink like some kind of magical healthy flavored water.
      It is not an energy drink. Energy drinks contain stimulants and do a lot of things to your body. Gatorade is more like water with additives.
      (For the record, the gatorade everyone knows about is the G2 kind, but there are also some different kinds of gatorade, including a special kind of gatorade for after your workout which contains protein.)

    • @williansnobre
      @williansnobre Рік тому +2

      As the other people already explained, it is a drink that has electrolytes and is meant to help people who do exercises or physical labour, specially when the temperature is high.
      Drinks like Gatorade can also help people who are losing fluids due to sickness but the high sugar and low salt content can make the condition worse sometimes.

      Talk to a social worker at a VA clinic for options. If you are getting run around see if a law school nearby has a free veteran's legal clinic to show you what options are available.

      @@talmoskowitz5221 There is no nearby law school. The only college in the area is FVCC. And the closest VA clinic we have is the one my dad is in. Living in rural Montana isn't exactly practical for this kind of stuff. 😔

      About 1.875 gallons. What's even scarier is that coffee is actually dehydrating due to the amount of energy needed to process it, so honestly idk how this guy is doing this without feeling completely f*cked every single day

    The circumcision thing is true. I didn't know what it was until college. I knew it existed i just didn't knew what it was. I saw the before and after but could never connect the dots.
    It was only after a Girl ,of all people, explained that it's less of chopping a cucumber 🥒 , and more like peeling a banana. 🍌 that i finally got the idea 💡.
    I then proceeded too cry.

    You ask the million dollar question - WHY...
    ANSWER:
    Because doctors DON'T care to LISTEN to the patients!!
    As someone who's been through the ringer with doctors..
    ( Being told I have empty womb syndrome.. only to give birth three months later!
    Being told I don't need cancer screening, even though my family on both sides have passed away from numerous types of cancer!!
    😢😢😢😢😢
    Yeah, I stopped going to the doctor after they told me that I would NOT live to see 50!!!
    I'm 52- now and those doctors are dead..
    🤪😉🧐
    Makes you wonder, don't it!?

    Women! The second you hit 40yo you need to start getting mammograms! Yes we can get cancer before then so self checks are vital. Do them as often as possible. If you're unsure how to check yourself, ask a doctor. I asure you they will be tickled pink to help you out. You should also be getting papsmears from the start of puberty/intercorse and onwards. Yeah, girl children probably don't need one before the age of 18 but if there is any dysfunction with the sexual organs (endometriosis or pcos) it is best to catch it early so the child can get proper pain meds as most female sexual dysfunctions are painful as fuck. I wish my mom had taken me in, it would have fixed a lot of my problems early on.i have pcos and my periods were torture but that's my mother's failing. Please take care of yourselves

    The guy waking up in pain might be more sensitive to hunger than most people. Hunger can occasionally be a bit painful even for me, its not too hard to imagine someone with a little bit more nerves crossing like that.
    He could also have mild acid reflux.

    Story 20- Hot flushes in someone who isn't menopausal, is sometimes a sign of diabetes.

      @EllpaFox47 Місяць тому

      Both kinds of diabetes or just type 1 or type 2?

    • @joosyjulie
      @joosyjulie Місяць тому

      @EllpaFox47 It can be both. Or someone who is pre-diabetic. When I found out that snippet of information, I was having severe hot flushes, day and night. So, I thought there was nothing to lose by being strict with my carb intake for a week. By day four of having my carbs on the low side, my hot flushes had stopped. I now know that if I have a cereal breakfast and a sandwich for lunch, that is my limit of carbs. Dinner HAS to be as close to zero carbs as I can make it, or I'll have a hot flush that night.
