A general overview of the Book of Psalms is that it can be viewed as the worship and prayer book of the Bible. It is composed by different authors over a long period of time, and includes songs and prayers collected and used by the nation of Israel in worship. This collection was eventually included in the official Hebrew Scriptures (i.e. Old Testament).
The songs and prayers within the Book of Psalms vary greatly by subject as follows:
1) Songs of Praise and Adoration towards God
2) Songs of Thanksgiving towards God
3) Prayers for Help, Protection, Forgiveness, and Salvation from God
4) Prayers for the punishment of one's enemies by God
All of these various songs and prayers have both a individual and community applications, with some portraying the most intimate feelings of the human spirit.
The Book of Psalms was used extensively by Jesus and His apostles in the New Testament, and has become one of the key books of worship used by His Church to this day.

Jesus raised my little girl from death after being hit by a car. She was not breathing or moving. I first screamed then thought to call Jesus. I only thought His Name and life came back into her body. She was rushed to hospital, put onto a medically induced coma for 11days with a skull fracture. She left the hospital healed by GOD and is now an 8th grade honor student. Nothing but pure miracle from our true Savior. This is my testimony ❤ Praise Jesus

Exactly. In the orthodox church we chant it in an emotionally neutral way, that even subtracts the tone interpretations that normal readings like this gives.
But this is the closest to that I've found so far
Yes, absolutely! It’s been so hard to find versions of Scriptures read where the producers don’t add in music, sound effects, and overdramatized voices. How silly! Don’t they think the word of God is enough? Why do they add commentary like “meditate on this.” That’s the whole reason we searched out UA-cam -to find scripture we could meditate on and receive, without anyone telling us to do that, or messing it up with music or their dramatic voices.
And Josh makes a good point about orthodox chanting.
My mother is really sick in and out of the hospital with Covid ,with naumonia you name it but finally she left my abusive dad and she lives with me her daughter.We watch you tube psalms together praise God !!!

I praise The Lord for saving me from myself. He has been so kind to me and has been very patient. He is still patient with me and has helped me to stay off of drugs and alcohol. He saved me from a 5 to 25 year prison sentence in Mexico and has given me a love for His Word. Only He can make a heart of stone soft for Him. To God be the glory. I was very atheistic/nihilistic as a young man, it only led me to drugs, bad relationships, and sorrow. At my lowest low in life, the good Lord blessed me with a touch from the Holy Spirit, I knew then that even though I never believed in God, He had always believed in me, I felt the warm embrace of His love, I'm forever grateful for that unlikely experience. However I often struggle with practicing true and genuine faith and repentance, Lord forgive me, I am a sinner. God bless us all.

Jesus Christ our Lord gave me life and has kept me even when i was running from him since a child. Was so sinful and he forgave all my sins made me new and keeps me now and forever. Believe in Him in His name. Be baptized, flee from sin and seek what He loves and do it. He will supply all your needs and take what is bad for you away. He will give you strength. Everything He says is true. Seek Him with all your heart pray over every blessings in the Bible and ask for spiritual gifts. Believe he has given them to you. Love Him with all your heart and strength and mind.
