I have also for security replaced the fuel filler cap with a lockable one now as someone tried to get into my fuel opening and has cracked the front locking flap so once replaced it also has a key locking cap inside to avoid having fuel stolen or malicious damage caused

Hi Thanks for the blog and the video is really very informative. By any means do you have old defective fuel actuator, just needed the internal parts images for reference.
Hi Aniket. I think I have the old actuator. Will check and let you know. Can you ping me on my WhatsApp number - 9099691369. I’ll send you the image during next weekend.
Hi sorry Desmond, I missed your message. I haven’t used any oil or diesel additives. I’ve sold my Polo which is a different story. I’m now driving a Honda Jazz VX CVT.
Absolutely. In fact I did one with an electric wire and a piece of plastic with cutouts to accommodate that rubber piece. Worked well but I decided to get the OE cable to make it look cleaner. 🙂
Hi bro do you have any experience of fixing battery drain on VW? I have a 2010 MK5 Polo and replaced the battery but still after a few days the battery becomes flat. So i am unsure if there is parasitic drain or alternator? Thanks
Hi, first thing - do you have any high power draw amps for the music system connected? What all accessories have you connected? If it’s a stock car, then the alternator isn’t charging the battery properly. This could be due to a bad alternator rectifier. The rectifier is a part of the alternator that converts AC voltage to DC voltage. It can go bad over time due to wear and tear. The rectifier can be replaced separately.
To install a MFSW to a Trendline/Comfortline model which did not have any steering controls before, in addition to the new steering wheel, you will need to add 2 cables from the T41 connector to the BCM and headlight switch. The T41 connector is the one that provides controls to the left (light + cruise control) and right (wiper) stalks and the steering wheel including the airbag assembly, horn and steering wheel controls. Pic of T41 connector from VW workshop manual showing pin numbering - ibb.co/6J0DgSb Pic of the actual connector during my cruise control installation - ibb.co/tbs69ZK 1. One cable is inserted into slot 9 of the T41 connector and the other end to the pin no 15 of the headlight switch. 2. The second cable is inserted into slot 10 of the T41 connector and the other end is joined/soldered to pin no 17 of the white connector (B) of the BCM. Once this is done, you have to enable MFSW in the BCM through VCDS - 09 Central Electronics > Coding 07 > Long Coding Helper > select checkbox with MFSW installed and Exit. That’s the whole process involved.
Bonjour, j'espère que vous avez inséré la pièce en plastique dans le mécanisme en position ouverte. Veuillez vérifier. Et avant de réinsérer le mécanisme dans la voiture, veuillez le tester comme je l'ai fait.
Dude I’m really not sure of this. Struts are completely a user based experience. Some find even the stock ones stiff. Some folks have gone with the TRW ones and have found them good. The current OE ones I hear are from Gabriel and don’t last long. Really no clue of the Sachs.

Thanks, the video was quite informative. Please share the link of the emergency release cord, if possible.

Awesome ..another very handy diy ….👍
Btw…Have you remapped your car or are using a tuning box?
No man. Stock tune. No changes to the engine or exhaust. A bit scared to actually after reading the horrors around.
@@GaneshBalan have you used any oil additive or diesel additive in your car?

Hi, that is a good find. Do you think a makeshift actuator cable can be installed if we make it from a copper cable?
Absolutely. In fact I did one with an electric wire and a piece of plastic with cutouts to accommodate that rubber piece. Worked well but I decided to get the OE cable to make it look cleaner. 🙂

I want to install auto folding mirrors on my polo. Please provide information if this could be installed on 2017 CL polo.
Hi Prashant it is certainly doable with additional parts. Does your 2017 Polo comfortline have electrically foldable mirrors?
@@GaneshBalan hi i can talk with you?
Please send me your phone number

Hi Sir,
Does This Fit on VW Vento 1.6?
Appreciate Your Content.
Hi, yes it works on the Vento as well. You’ll have to remove the lining from the boot which is of a different design compared to the Polo.

will this work on VW vento 2020
Yep all generations of the Polo, Vento and Rapid. 🙂

@@GaneshBalan any idea of axle nut size in 1.5 tdi cars? Some say it's 36mm and other say 30mm
No need to go with SACHS, failed within 30-40k kms..get Monroe..13k for front n rear together.
Dude if you meant the rear axle nut, it is an M20 12-point nut. You need a 30 mm spanner.

It looks like the filler flap has been repaired too.
Haha yes. Eagle eyes I must say. It broke off at the hinge and I stuck it back using a 2-part epoxy glue.
