Lovely Runner is a love story about Ryu San Jae and Im Sol. Im Sol travels through multiple timelines to save Ryu San Jae. At the beginning of the story, Im Sol loses her feet, rendering her unable to walk and causing her to lose the will to live. San Jae rescues her by giving her hope for a better life. She becomes a fan of San Jae's band, Eclipse. Unfortunately, one night, San Jae is found dead by suicide. Heartbroken, Im Sol uses time travel to try to save San Jae. However, every time she goes back to the past, the same events occur: San Jae falls in love with her and dies rescuing her from a serial killer. Desperate, Im Sol decides to erase all their memories and change their fate by preventing their first meeting. Because of this, San Jae loses all his memories of Im Sol, while only Im Sol remembers their sweet and bitter moments. Yet, fate cannot be avoided. When they meet again, San Jae falls in love with Im Sol once more. Although Im Sol initially avoids and rejects San Jae, through a series of events, San Jae eventually remembers everything. Luckily, in the end, the serial killer dies in a car accident, and San Jae and Im Sol live happily ever after.
