Goblin already killed him 900 years ago. However, by doing that, it caused Park Joong Hun to become a wandering ghost. Wandering individuals such as Park Choong Hun and Ji Eun Tak are created because Goblin intercepted their lives and thus bound to stay in the world of living. Ji Eun Tak was supposed to die by accident but Goblin saved her, Park Joong Hun had to die from old age or some other reason but Goblin killed her. And after wandering around the world for 900 years, Park Joong Hun found a way to avoid Grim Reapers and managed to live longer by consuming darkness of human heart. Hit-and-run driver who killed Ji Eun Tak's mom, Thief who stole money from Grim Reaper are the people who were manipulated by Park Joong Hun to commit evil deeds. When people commits evil deeds and dark thoughts arouse, Park Joong Hun consumes them as energy to survive. He is extremely crafty, cunning, manipulative, and smart bastard when he was alive, and after living as ghost for 900 years I'm sure he became even more craftier than before. He may be weaker than Goblin or Grim Reaper, but his intelligence and manipulation of others prove him to be very dangerous opponent. He even found a way to "cheat" death. He approached Goblin now because after realizing that Ji Eun Tak is wanderer who can cause Goblin to die, he can use her as a tool for his revenge against Goblin.
