  • Sufi ontology is not just a result of philosophical discourse, and indeed it has to be understood as "ta onta" and "sophia", not "logos". In this regard, Ibn Arabi is a prominent example of Sufi who primarily talks about "wujud" as the result of practical engagement.

In my Sufism practice, it is actually related to the paradoxical nature of our deeds as His servants. There are two sides that must be separated properly, namely between good and bad deeds, in knowing the nature of Allah as the Creator. This power of imagination between good and bad deeds cannot be separated from His guidance. As His servants we surrender as joyful prisoner. Allah's presence is greatly missed and desired, but He gives us tough training, so if we read from QS. an- Nur 1 to 35, then spiritually, something that tangible is strongly drawn towards the spiritual, through transformation from Nafs to Spirit. It is so strong that Sufism is not at the level of mind an sich, but of the soul which continues to sink into the qalb.

Constant battle of mind vs soul. I understand good is from God, when bad is absence of God. If we were to feel his presence more, we must find good among bads, truth among falses. The concept of Faana, burning the self really helps. Thank you. Your description was really good.

30 seconds in I'm disgusted by the ridiculous use of "big words" to sound intelligent. Sufism is not philosophy except to academics. Sufism is about experience which is also beyond experience and words.

Angga is a theological student and at best English is his third language, he needs encouragement. As an autodidact in such issues I appreciate his academic approach for filling in the gaps in my understanding. Like Islam, Sufism is a broad Masjid and we need to celebrate this.

This is the single most best channel in UA-cam. I've never come across any other channel going so deep yet being so sincere in elaborating the concepts. Every word is false in contrast to the truth, but we need them as guides towards the truth which I concur can only be experienced. I hope you continue to follow this channel. And I hope this channel grows and becomes the beacon for the whole humanity not only the muslims. Please carry on your great work Angga!! Thanks!!

This betrays your own ignorance and lack of proper humility and adab. Sufism is vast just as Islam is vast and is for all types of people; such theoretically philosophical and theological discussions have always been the norm in Islam at large and Sufism. One would know this if one actually bothers to properly engage with the vast Islamic and Sufi Literature and Treatises. Using "Big Words" for such is a necessity for discussions; your being disgusted by this only illustrates your own judgmentalism. You really need be more humble and open to learning and not be so blinded by own your ego.
