After hearing all those WNBA stars say when Catlin Clark gets in the WNBA she will be playing against "great professional basketball players" and won't be able to do what she was able to do against other college players, you have to wonder why they need two "great professional players" to guard her.

Probably more a team play issue & not what the coach wanted. Sun has a history of upsetting the game plans of other teams & making them look bad w their D.
Too many people are just reacting when there haven’t been near the games played to see much of anything for certain. Definitely a whole lotta people need to be researching the teams we play a lot more. Sun does this to other teams. We do need to learn & get better. It's a very young team. Still very much on a learning curve with each other & this league. Of course it will get very tough against teams who are just playing a whole different level than we have yet managed.

Carrington fouled CC 5 times that if I was the ref would have gotten called. I am a retired Bball official and coach. Take away the 10 turnovers by CC, they still lose because if you get 50% of those non turnovers into that offense you are still only coming up with about 10-15 points, which is still not enough to beat Connecticut because the rest of the Fever, which are not rookies sucked even worse. I mean the next best player had 7 points less than CC. Boston had 4 damn points. Pathetic and the Fever players are more out of shape than CC. Its because the coach is forcing them into an offense where she says go for the long 2s. That comment Coach Sides made and the way she put CC under the bus publicly should get her fired.

Coach and as you can see by the way their playing everyone listens but only a few teams play as a team in pre season because of all the hype from the star rookies Some of these Post Rookie Coaches. Don't Get That You Will Have Some TEAMS that Plays As A Whole Team including the BENCH their will always be team players sort of like South Carolina it takes a TEAM ***

Clark leads her team in points and assists, with almost 15 ppg so far(for the record Kobe Bryant avg 7.6 ppg his rookie season...you would call him a bust 🤣). Boston is so bad at 13:36, Boston sits back on the screen and Clark gets rubbed off and instead of stepping up and hedging the player coming off the screen, she backs off into the lane. Clark had to fight over the screen and chase the player while the player drives into the paint and draws a foul on Boston. She is very out of shape!!! Her defense is lazy. Wow!!!
Ugh...why is the camera work so terrible when it comes to WNBA, it is so difficult to follow when they cut to 3 views in split seconds and you don't even get to see the play half the time. I really hope it gets better.
Look at 32.22 to like 32.29 and watch the camera work flip three to four ways in just seconds making it almost impossible to know what's happening...

I think her game needs to evolve to a new level. It will evolve to a new level. Her prior fans need to get a grip. First off, the team that is giving her fits her is Connecticutt. She is being defended against by experienced pros. They are focused on stopping her for good reason she is a huge threat. In College ball there are so many more teams & talent is spread across those teams. The WNBA has 12 teams currently. The available positions are heavily competed for, women on these teams have far more years experience & their talent is far more competitive.
The Fever are currently a lower ranking team, but this is a fact of life in team sports. The first draft picks go to the lowest teams. She is lucky that there also is a lottery draw because the Fever did not have the worst record last year & had already been doing rebuilding for a couple years. The Fever have been a very dominant team in the past. It's a market where basketball is dearly loved & supported at all levels. She could be in a far worse position.
She has a contract to play out before she could transfer. S team might trade or let a player go, that is not likely w someone of Caitlyn’s caliber. At least she got on a team that she fits a role that is a need. Many rookies won’t get the same playing time.
She will have to learn to not get in foul trouble early. That is why she is on the bench so much of the 1st qtr in the last 2 games. She got into foul trouble early. That is just her own learning process. There are so many factors here.
Especially those who really never followed the WNBA & are clueless about the level & style of play. No player who goes into a new league at a higher level can just play like they always did. They are up against different players & teams who have new skills, & often far more experience playing together.
Caitlyn fans who never followed the NBA are hopefully unwittingly rude & foolish when they expect to see her dominate in a new league this early. This idea that any rookie is going to come in & not have a learning curve is pretty annoying & ignorant. It's getting completely old.
Caitlyn is a team player. If you really want to support her as she wants support her as part of a team instead of an entity all to herself. I cannot comprehend why people follow a single celebrity player in a team sport. Yes, I have favorite players, quite a few actually, but they are all team oriented & are not say some egotistical talent. Fans need to learn how to appreciate one of the most important facets & qualities of women’s basketball. They play team ball more so than the men. It's a strength.
Just step back & learn for a bit. So tired of so many who only ever followed Caitlyn speaking nonsense when they know so very little about the WNBA in general. Caitlyn will end the year better than she starts. That is a given with talented rookies no matter how much upside they have.

It's not the team. Caitlin Clark is not on the level of these women at all. Her game is just not up to par! This is not college anymore. They tried to say that before she came in.
