I admire all your plants, they are basically a bonsai plants. When I lived in Hawaii, my plants grew so well. Then we moved to TN, so I will have to start another garden. Thanks for sharing 👍
I actively follow your too little leaf ficus benjamina.. it's my first and favorite bonsai of mine. You have helped me care for that tree and I greatly appreciate you for that. It looks like the trunk on yours has gotten noticeably thicker. I admire that tree probably more than any other tree you have. Also looking forward to the next wisteria video you make as I have just purchased one myself. Don't know where I'd be on my bonsai journey without you. Thank you for the videos and keep up the great work.
Great update. Pretty dense in the plant room, tropical rainforest. I have a feeling that Parkinson’s law applied to space (not time) will occur in the plant room, ie you will create more space, which leads to more trees, which leads to less space. Got a glimpse of the spider web on the light. Glad to see the spider is doing well too, keeping all the other pests under control for you.
Do you have proper indoor lighting for one? (Full spectrum lights, or at very least halogens?) Second, watering? Do you follow a schedule or do you give each tree/ plant what they want? 3rd, what are your problem species? 4, do you fertilize? How often and with what? 5, where do you live globally? All these things will make a huge difference for winter months when most things need brought in.
Glad to see the trees are doing well, my lychee tree hasn't done anything all winter after I pruned it. The old leaves are browning very slowly, spring can't get here fast enough!
I'm hoping the Royal Poinciana comes back strong...I lived in the Philippines for a few years and they are really beautiful trees...Here's hoping...Thanks for the update...
Really get to know your plants in these types of videos!!! you should add the lithops ( living stones) in the desert rose forest, that might work together.
You need a bigger plant room nigel 🤣 lovely to see the trees are doing fine. Its vierd how i as viewer makes a connection to must of your trees. Almost like my own bonsai's
Please consider letting those serissa suckers grow for a year or two as sacrifices to really enhance the taper from bottom-to-top by making the lower trunk thicker
Mate is that snow in the background with ur flowering hibiscus, that's mind blowing,I'm on the quest for knowledge, but in sure in the end of the day it's trial n error n a lot of patience cheers mate oh n wots ur favourite band n style of music cheers, central coast Australia
I am so jealous of your plant room - it looks fantastic. I have run out of indoor ledges for all of my Tigerbark and Jade trees so really desperate to find more 'economical' solutions before we enter our next winter. Heating costs are just about to go through the roof (literally) here in sunny Grantham. I would love to have the ability to increase the variety of tropicals I could learn about. Oh well - I will just have to live vicariously through yours :)
Hey nigel, would you mind if I send you a couple bonsai pots I made from nice Japanese teacups and sake glasses if you do a p.o box or something? I made a bunch because I'm a teaset/ sake set collector and I realized I don't need that many functional pieces, so all the spares have been turned into bonsai pots.
Hello there!! Your trees are beautiful. I also love my ficuses. I have two tiger barks. I really want to add a Brazilian rain tree to my collection, it would go beautiful with my jaboticaba bonsai, I don’t know if the will survive an Arizona summer though. I love your channel. New to bonsai and I learn alot here.
Hi Nigel love your update in your plant room you do have a lot of planets in there. I just love it. Can you tell me what temperature is inside the plant room I asume with a heater and how often do you water? Tku Dj
i have some flowering trees to but i confes i don't shape them i love the flowers the take out so i just leave them. i love the ones that smell even more. i just do basic maintenes on them. the only one i have hard time taking care of is my begonvilla i don't know y, it keep dyeing back on me.
Hi, For a long time I want to have a bonsai tree at work, I have an office that is far from the windows so a very small amount of natural light but plenty of florescent lights, the temperature is stable 20 - 25 Celsius. Is there a species that can thrive in such conditions ? Thanks
"Ficus lyrata, a terrible tree for bonsai, but... I'm growing one anyway!"
Now that's what keeps us progressing as a species. Onward!
That's the spirit!!
With that dense jungle, I am looking for Tarzan swinging through the trees. Lots of care went into all the trees.
Ah, I'm so glad to see the root over temple has bounced back so strongly. Excellent!
The plant room, aka. the jungle. Most of the trees look very healthy and ready for summer. That's nice to see!
I hate to say it but that liverwort looked fantastic as ground cover to that root over temple ficus🤣😄
Great update spring is here in Salt Lake city75 tomorrow 80 on Saturday

Looks like this growing season is going to be very promising for you, all the plants look quite healthy and ready to grow.
Yes, they are just waiting for warm weather, it's snowing right now and tomorrow night we have a low of -12 C! Will spring ever come?!!
Looks like the Giraffes want some water... Great updates! Your plant room is SooOOOooo Full!!🤓
What a lush jungle! Now you just need those shelves so you can maybe sit down and enjoy them during winter.
I can always suspend myself from the ceiling like in Mission Impossible!!
Cup of hot tea to watch this super video.
I love updates😍😍😍😍

Yes, I think it might rain in the plant room some days, maybe a thunderstorm!!
Your trees all look so awesome! I find mine just look tired, fed up and ready for spring and summer just like me.

Thanks Hiyori!!!!
Boy I can't wait until those dragon tree seeds sprout!
That Brazilian raintree is so beautiful now.
Yes, it's really going to grow this summer, I think it will get really large!
Wow I always love bonsai

Great idea!
The problem is that the lithops have a several months absolutely no watering phase, in that case they can't stand to close near the desert roses.
@@negativegains I see, I didnt no that,
Hi Nigel, more space means more space for trees and less for you 😁😁🤗...
So true!!
....a few more plants in there
Yes, if I swing from the ceiling, I could fill the aisle!! Lol!
You need a bigger plant room nigel 🤣 lovely to see the trees are doing fine. Its vierd how i as viewer makes a connection to must of your trees. Almost like my own bonsai's
So green and nice, I would love to meditate there
You are welcome to, there is not much room though!!
Please consider letting those serissa suckers grow for a year or two as sacrifices to really enhance the taper from bottom-to-top by making the lower trunk thicker
I'll have to check where they are growing from!
Time to remodel the plant room again Nigel!
Yes, it will get a big makeover this summer, I'll try and get it set up more like Connor's place!
Whoops I missed a premiere, thanks for the tips with the ficus Nigel!
Careful with the watering of the desert roses! They rot VERY easily. Also, they are fungus magnets. They can be very difficult to work with :)
Thanks for the tip!
Awesome Nigel

Im waiting for ficus root over temple update😊
Wow!!!!Sooo BEAUTIFUL, PLEASE DON'T PINCH THE BUDS,🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Maybe I'll leave a few flower buds on!!!

They’re all Stars!! 🤗
Will work for plants! =)
Lol!!! Thanks!
Do you ever bring the trees into the house to enjoy them individually? That might be another way to get more room for more plants!
I switch trees on the one stand, to have an overall look at them from eye level, it is so nice to see them!!!
Also, thoughts on turning teapots into bonsai pots? Is that going too far?
Well, I just Nigled some roots on a couple of repots. I'm hoping I don't regret it
Loving your greenhouse and making the pots. Looking forward to seeing them
I hope your tree does well Daniel!!!
Hey Nigel, how about putting the lights above the chinese penjing instead of beside ?...
That's on my to do list!! I guess it will have to wait until summer now, I should call it a wish list instead, lol!

What ever happen to the Mars project
The Aloe is doing well in the Mars simulant! The soil is now growing algae on it, a good sign!

Hi Nigel, how are your pomelo trees doing.
They all didn't make it, I think we just don't have the right weather for them.
So sorry to hear this, need more seed let me know. Mine grow well.
Hey Nigel, can you tell me about that new Bonsai book you mentioned about a month ago. Name and author?

Hey guys
Hello Gerardo!!
Nice plant room. Is that a metal halide lamp?
It's an LED light, it's called a UFO light!
@@TheBonsaiZone oh good, yes I use LED’s too, the full spectrum ones have gotten really good the last couple years.
👍👌🍎
Foist!!
Canada.. This guy has definitely bonsai’d a cannabis plant 🤔🤨😂 lol
Foist
Matt, you scored a Foist tonight!!
