I was a big supporter of the PBC and thought they had a good thing going. How the mighty have fallen. They could have really capitalized on their roster of fighters, occasionally having fights with outside promoters/promotions to keep the momentum they had with the networks.

Eddie is right, Dazn has viewers with a high intent to purchase a ppv fight. Amazon prime has more "subscribers" but doesn't have that audience used to buying ppv fights and it will take a while before that comes

DAZN hardly has viewers in the first place other than hardcore boxing fans so of course they're more likely to buy. Prime has the perk of mass public awareness & advertisement seeing as far more people have prime.

PBC is premium and the rest are basic cable. The others provide more fights which is true but the PBC has put on 1 shows and it is the best card top to bottom this year. The PBC just need to find the balance of providing non ppv fights regularly and it would be game over.

Haney is easily the highest paid fighter out of them all excluding the 1 off Tank v Ryan fight. Haney has been getting paid mega bucks for years, especially in early DAZN days they were vastly overpaying him as they were new to the market. Now he has all the titles so commands the big numbers anyway. And unlike others Haney is active & cashing cheques constantly
Promoters should not have any control of who their fighter will fight. Allowing the promoters to choose is the main reason “ducking” is so prevalent in boxing. This allows a champion to avoid fighting the best fighters. A champion should either be fighting other champions or the #1 contender. Unless special circumstances arise, where the #1 contender OR mandatory agrees to accept “step-aside” $$ in order to allow another fighter to jump the line. In a case like this the fighter who has stepped aside loses his position as the mandatory. There always should be a mandatory named.

He avoids contract obligations and minimum purses. Very slick with contracts. Why didn't Garcia/Lara happen? It was signed. Instead, Lara fights a guy who stood in the way of a left hand. Garcia? Might as well call it quits. Just like so many other PBC fighters who have sat idle .

Not a lie was told about PBC. This also exposes some of their marquee fighters when they step up in competition. i.e Spence & Wilder. Yet, Spence won his first belt @147 by fighting Kell Brook who is not a PBC fighter. We all remember the 'other side of the street' excuse made by Errol. Who knows?? maybe had he fought Bud earlier he may have won, but we'll never know.

PBC sure has the competition, however Eddie wasn't wrong about most great fights coming up are also part of DAZN most fights he named are actually some solid fights, and PBC is scattered everywhere going from Showtime but now Showtime Boxing is no more, even at one point they were with Fox and now no more, so they stationed with Amazon Prime. But either way DAZN as of now is highly involved in everything in the next few months, for sure PBC can put some good fights together but they really relying on their PPV stars like Spence and Tank, Canelo is with them but momentarily and Benavidez is also now doing PPV little by little, but either way as of right now PBC doesn't have much to brag about other than Canelo vs Munguia but you see Munguia is with the DAZN so that's not necessarily PBC fight alone they needed DAZN to make it happen, and then we got the Tank fight against Martin in the summer but that's pretty much it as of right now but again not much to brag about 🤷♂️
