36:52 quite surprised to see the 92 Class SCS20 has no broken windows. If you come & check the trains that goes to KL Sentral to Pelabuhan Klang, there is always broken windows with cracks.
thank you for a very comprehensive record of the full journey... I can feel as though I was beside you throughout the delay ordeal..........having rode shinkanzen and trains in several countries, I am shy to say our Malaysian railway authorities is rather backward in this very vital land transport link..... please get technical help from China....
looking at the unkempt and dirty conditions of some stations and platforms, foreign visitors will feel that they are in a 3rd world country....... KTM .. please do something.....
I am glad you enjoyed the experience...... I usually take ETS Gold to Ipoh and Butterworth.... 30% discount for senior citizen...... last but not least., I love train travel., a past time I acquired when in Japan..... Happy Travelling and continue to share your experiences with us...

If you are in a hurry and want to reach your destination on time ride ETS. But if you want to enjoy a santai trip on conventional trains consisting of locomotive hauled coaches, then choose KTM Intercity. I prefer the latter unless if it's an emergency then I'll take the former. But with Gemas-Padang Besar fully utilized by ETS daily, my only options are ETS. MySawasdee from KL Sentral to Hat Yai (monthly) and Ekspres Lambaian Aidilfitri/Aidiladha from KL Sentral to Tumpat (twice a year) only runs seasonally. So when those seasonal special Intercity trains are available I'll rather take that since it's not always that you can ride on an "old-school" KTM train from KL anymore. MySawasdee reminds me of Ekspres Senandung Langkawi / Peninsular while ELA reminds me of Ekspres Senandung Wau - former express trains which was terminated in 2014 and 2016 respectively due to rolling stock damage from the Kelantan floods (Wau) and restructuring of KTM services (Langkawi).
stupid! that is an old train.. you go watch train video from other countries even Europe, Australia and USA.. vintage trains like this commonly broke in the middle of journey...

My Sawasdee Express: Kuala Lumpur To Hat Yai KTM GT18LC-2 Aka Class 25 & SRT CRRC CDA5B1 (QSY)
Selamat Datang to Hat Yai krub. 😊
That's why I always say, ktm should upgrade the sitting and sleeping coaches. They are all in real bad condition.

Video bagus, informative. Tak jadi la ambil train ni ke Hatyai. Naik ETS biasa aje la better
To be honest, I prefer taking the bus to Hat Yai from TBS. It's almost hassle free. 😅
You love your trains 🚂
I think this train is an obstacle for ETS running on the same track
