Hmm, $7 bags on $170 racks !! I definitely fit the bikepacking / mil surplus venn intersect. got some Flecktarn and Strichtarn pattern canvas poncho pairs in a box waiting for me to make some rolltop minimalist panniers and a frame bag.

9:10 Everybody needs a woobie. I put drawstrings through 2 ends of mine so I can cinch it down into a hammock underquilt (or open it up as a blanket).

They are so versatile! I'm probably going to pick up 2 more this winter just to have. It also saved a certain someone we know from getting too cold up on Rampart last month.

The US is so vast. India is big too but we have a lot of people too, you camp and you will find at least 10 people come visit you and more than 100 who pass by. It is illegal to camp in the wilderness in most states as well.
I hope I can live in the US for some time to do these activities unfortunately I am not a genius nor do I have connections to people, still trying to get to the US at least for a few years so I can do these activities while earning. One day it will happen rn I'm 33 so not much time left but I will keep trying.

We don't really have ticks at this elevation. I've never seen any of my dogs pick them up while out and about. This was around 9k feet.

What caliper is your preferred outdoor pew pew?

The G19 shown is in 9mm. My other hiking pistol is a 10mm, it's just a bit heavy. 10mm is probably my preferred wilderness pistol caliber for several reasons. But honestly, the biggest threats outside of dehydration, hypothermia, and crashing are not bears or anything, it's other people. What's important is to carry what you're comfortable with.

I never thought I'd see someone else who had a dog called Margot (the 't' is important - obviously). I ended up inheriting a cat called Piers at the same time, so the combination of names did make me look a bit of a wanker in east London tbh.
Looked like a great night out - but I do wonder if you realise how weird it looks to anyone outside the US that you feel the need to take a gun with you.

Even if milsurp wasn't so much more durable than off the shelf stuff it's a lot cheaper, I've got too much at this point but it's stuff that works.
