The Kawasaki K-Cars have been around a long time, probably longer than the PCC streetcars when they were replaced. Does SEPTA have any plans for new cars within the decade?
Cody TrainExpert Ooh, good point. Although when I rode them last fall on an excursion to Philly, the K-Cars were pretty worn, and the manufacturers plates showed they were rebuilt.
+Just Cody Wow. I plan to ride the 15 next month when I visit Philly. Hopefully the new cars won't be from Breda...ask anyone in San Francisco about those.
DTD110865 Those Muni Bredas break down a lot. And that's from the very moment they went into service in the late 90's. I like the new Bombardier cars Toronto has started getting on the 510 Spadina line, but they would never work on SEPTA due to length.
I like the part where the trolley and El train toot their horns at each other in the end.

They Are Proven Worthy Like Broad Street Line Would Say

Kind of disappointing in the case of Route 15, since it was revived as a partial heritage route.

That bad, huh? The ones from Boston seem to look nice.
