Hi William, your roots are definitely growing well, love all those green tips! The one rex is looking much better. I bet your catesetum types bloom most of the winter, they're so big! Here's to Hal, it's been a long run, curious about how many new growths it has put out, I expect each would bloom? Until next time, Kelly D.
I do not know for sure, but Stephen Van Kampen-Lewis, an experience grower, told me that Fredclarkearas can bloom anytime, just depends on the plant. Check out his channel if you haven't: ua-cam.com/channels/uPJqFeMOnPeBOCYSbyA7Ag.html
Wow the cycnoches wine delight is huge! I have never seen anyone grown it this big! Thanks for the update and looking forward to see the catasetum blooms. How often do you use the root hormone?
Hi Mary, I'm also super excited about the catasetum blooms! The rooting hormone is applied once every two weeks, however i may give the plants a break in the winter.
Hello I wanted to ask if you can give me a few cultural tips on growing my Bulbophyllum Medusae please? I live in England UK and seems to be okay in a 4" pot had 2 years but as yet no flower spike. Many thanks Peter
Hi Peter, if the plant has been putting out new growths but not blooming, i would guess that the issue is light. Gradually introduce your bulbo to brighter conditions. Mine receive a couple of hours of barely filtered afternoon sun through the greenhouse wall. The key is making sure the light doesn't overheat the leaves. I'm happy to look at any photos or videos of the plant if you'd like to discuss further!
Your Orchids are healthy and lovely...
Thank you so much for sharing your Fantastic work....Best wishes to you...Mr. William.
I remember what that Schilleriana looked like! I definitely need one of those! Great update!
My goal is to let the spike hang naturally this year, it's so gorgeous that way, we'll see if it happens!
Marissa here! Friendly challenge accepted! My wine delight created 15 buds and blasted two, which leaves 13 buds. They're starting to open now!
That is so impressive!! The most mine has had was 6! Fingers crossed I get a decent show!
Happy growing..
You too!

Thank you Kelly, HAL is putting out 2 new growths, but it's a mystery where and when the next spike will emerge!
Your Catasetum type orchids are so big. I have a Fredclarkeara After Dark with matured growths, when is their blooming month? Thanks.

Do you use Kelpmax on your Paphiopedilums and Bulbophyllums? Thanks.
Yes, I use it on both, and both genera seem to respond very well to it. One tablespoon per gallon. Thanks!
