Been there done that. I had a client insist on buying the balloons for a Quince that I was consulting on. We worked on the decorations together and she bought cheap dollar store balloons. It was a mess with the arch coming down and balloons on the tables down. Well I was able to save the day somewhat because thanks to high-float the balloons themselves survived but they didn't stay up. Cheap cheap balloons. Even told her where to buy the balloons I normally used and gave her prices ugh!!. All in all I was not blamed which was nice of the mom to admit. I always take the time to explain completely and get my cash only non refundable deposits because people don't listen or don't realize your money is your money.....Another I had when I showed up to set up centerpieces I was surprised by the brides brother filling up bubble gum color and dark blue balloons on the wedding tables!!!! Horrible horrible look ...it looked like a circus 🎪 😕... lol good thing that was a simple to get centerpieces on tables and leave situation Haha... always always tell clients that you are their designer and if they need or want others to get in on decorations you won't take the job! Makes sense...
so maybe i should make a video about this!!! but i don't want to feel like i'm complaining all the time. The one thing that i get all the time is...client's ask for ideas, mockups, pricing and after all that, they never hire you. And what kills me even more is that they take your ideas and give it to someone else to do it for cheap or they try themselves to do it. and it never looks good it is such a disaster.
Party city has a 30 day return on all items including balloons
Yeah unfortunately I don’t get my balloons from party city… i get them from a balloon distributor

She probably found someone cheaper but you can't just cancel after paying and expect not to pay at all smh.
