The machine makes enough noise, why can't they just get the f out of the way. I have shredded many a hedge hog and never on purpose. What a waste. To bad there were no chinese around. Sonic ain't got a chance against me and my tractor. Besides birds don't nest everywhere, they try and find quite and more secluded areas, plus they travel to certain points to nest.
