    Flexi leads are awesome, if you know how to use it, and teach your dog how to interact with it.
    Never hold the Stop button when your dog is coming towards you. Hold the stop button, Verbal cue, Pull and and release the stop button when your dog start to move towards you.

    Thankyou so much for this video… I have a 9year old Min Pin Hugo who has become dog reactive after a bad encounter with a dog off lead that owner couldn’t control… this gives me hope and some brilliant stuff to work on as he was a happy sociable boy but now has to be on a long line or flexi … pate is def crack for dogs😂

      stop moving so the dog learns that pulling is not rewarding in any way, and he will only get to his objective without tension on the leash

    Love watching you work the dogs!
    Question: do you think Fudge was ACTUALLY being reinforced by the foos rewards? Being a Terrier mix, the environment seemed of higher value, play would raise arousal too much, but the food he seemed indifferent sometimes. Was he actually pairing the association to the behaviour? Wouks affection or varying with affection have been more beneficial?

    Why do you always say "all the way" after giving a down command to your other dog? I saw tom davis do that too, but i just say the command again or wait, cause dogs don't know what "ll the way" means right

    So recall is the solution to barking? I can never get to this stage with my 2 year old. At any point was the treat changed here? If yes was the treat value escalated?

      This is the problem that I have with MANY training videos. They tend to show dogs that are highly motivated by food which represents 50% or less of the cases. YOUR solution may be that the value proposition that you offer that is more valuable than the environment is evading correction, at which point aversions become much more important. That's just the reality.

      @@samwdavis this wasn't one of those videos. This dog was kind of an a-hole from the start.

      The solution to barking is knowing where it comes from and what the underlying issue is. It's different for every dog. If your dog barks at other dogs, you need to be more that it's undesirable behavior with a (vocal) correction, and be consistent.

      No, he's showing the dog it's nothing to be scared, because that's the reason he's barking, by positive interaction and slow and steady exposure, with a food motivator.

    Why are you tie-ing the dog up? I would always avoid that when interacting and training any dog.

    Dog seems very poorly socialised. And poorly handled by avoiding training with a motivator

    The dog is too small to be pulled from his neck....small dogs can get injured easily, no thanks

      @canine_coach 26 днів тому

      nah, he's hardly putting pressure and it's a lot better to communicate with a neck collar, with any dog when you are trying to train it.
