Deflected Out

In the "Road to the Show" (My Player/Career) mode of MLB 11 The Show my player hits a fly out to the right fielder. Unlike most fly outs the ball bounces off of the player's thigh, but then the player moves back under to catch it. I've seen some strange things in this game before but this was a first.
