- 2025 just started and Helldivers 2 is still extremely fun. We had some extremely funny moments while trying out the new update and we're still not tired of it.

The random explosions came from a particular bush with spiked fruits that deal great damage to anything near it, they have a main branch and several fruits on them , not very colorfull but recognizable from their shape, hope it helps!

Also of note, the shield backpack can deflect projectiles. I assume the shield also deflected the bush "shrapnel" to all converge onto Stor. xD
Back when I ran the shield gen a lot I'd see rounds ricochet back at teammates, even including the HMG rounds while I'm sitting in the car. =P
@ this is why I love this game. Not only is the local flora as well as the fauna trying to kill me, but my mates’ shields are helping them out.
I enjoy all the epic, cinematic, heroic moments as much as the next guy, but what sets Helldivers 2 apart is the slapstick.
it's incredible how you can go from 180bpm of pure adrenaline to the funniest thing you've seen in your life in the span of 30 seconds

The upcoming movie can't replicate the raw, unadulterated chaos and insanity of normal gameplay. Literally 90% of the gameplay clips I've recorded over the last 9 months could be made into their own movie scenes
@ I don’t really know what to expect from that movie. I hope it takes itself as seriously as the game does. Which is to say not seriously at all.
@@stor-who The game takes itself both seriously and unseriously at the same time in my opinion. In the game universe, everything is seriously taken and the stuff they say is actually engrained into the lore. The game also has an incredible amount of detail, from the guns having minute details and features only known by seasoned military professionals and veterans, or immersive features like real-time eclipses happening because of planets being casted in darkness for a few minutes because of another planet, to bigger details that you could find everywhere in the game, which is all a product of the game taking 8 years to make, and them probably using a good chunk of it to flesh out those details.
The game takes itself unseriously outside of the game universe. We all know that the stuff super earth says and does is stupid, we all know that it is satire and mocking the real world in some way, we all know that it's meant to be inspired by Starship Troopers, Warhammer 40k, etc, we all know that it's just fun roleplaying when we say "Democracy officer, this one here!". In the game itself, they take themselves pretty seriously.
The movie needs to properly capture this sense of the in-game universe being taken very seriously but everyone else outside of it knowing that it's fun satire to play along with. That's my opinion though

POV: You are apart of an expendable "ELITE" team of soldier who are responsible for handling equipment that might cost over 500.000.000.000$ and have little experience on how to use it properly resulting death expectations to shoot through the roof but it's in the name of Managed Democracy.
That is the funniest thing I've ever had the pleasure (, pain and ptsd) to be apart of.

10:00 Most likely was the deed of the spiky ball plant. Those things can kill and will apply bleed if you live, it will also act like barbed wire and do small tick damage when you touch it. Hard to spot but those things are on planets with forests and biomes like the one your on.
yeah lmao, @CrafterVSWild also pointed that out. It's those spiky green plants. I feel silly now, but it definitely wasn't easy to spot when you're going 90 mph in that crazy scout car. those sneaky devs got me again.
@@stor-who You can change gear and lock it when your the driver. I stay on 1st gear since its safer in tight area and 2nd is good for climbing.
I'll keep this in mind next time i'm struggling not to crash into everything

(The green-yellow-ish ones right in front of the car. Mechs also hate them with a passion)
I see them now and feel a bit silly, but for a moment I thought it was an in-game event like when the Illuminate randomly shot in bug or automaton missions.

The three legged walker robots (harvesters) the quids bring have a weak point at the hip, it is only medium armor. Half a mag of the MG is usually enough to drop one if you can hold the recoil on target. AMR can also do good work breaking the hip.
Ironically the squids have an ablative type of armor so its usually damaged by light or medium pen just the same as heavy but gives a LOT of resistance against explosion damage. This can make high ROF weapons shred through squid armor, meanwhile if you just shot them with a rocket they'd shrug it off.
One commando shot takes it out easy at the joint also. Only thing I've used successfully
I hadn’t done the research in that, I’ll keep it in mind! I had noticed how they drop faster when you shoot just under them and hit their hind leg though
@ Yup, that dark section connecting their leg to the body is a medium armor "weak point" and its on all three legs. Quite low HP on those parts too.
I think I've seen some people use FLAK Auto Cannon rounds but I can't get it to burst at the right spot. xD
Basically just focus on one of the three leg joints. Most people focus the eye but it has WAY higher HP, the horns generate the shield which can be convenient to knock out so it can't re-shield.

@stor-who how do you remember where all the hits are in your edits?
my method is as inefficient as it can get lol
I record our sessions pretty much completely and when I feel like I have enough footage I drop it all in DaVinci Resolve and start a very rough cut of the bits that are think are funny or that I think I can make funny. But yes, not marking the hits in the moment does mean I have to go through 5+ hours of footage or even more sometimes, so that can take a week or more (depending on how demanding my actual job is that week). After that I start removing everything I don't think is funny enough or that I can't make funny enough, then comes the zooms, transitions, music, and then the subtitling at the end.

i keep seeing people talk about super credit sample bundles of more than 10 but never see it and just think they're misreading it.
As far as I know, bundles give you 10, but there’s a small chance to give you 100 (it’s happened to us 2-3 times). At that point in the mission we had picked up a total of 5 bundles, giving us 50 for that mission.
