My snake drinks toilet water, we dont flush so it gets all the nutrients. For some reason my snake stopped moving a week ago, it just lays there. But that's normal right?
@@heysaucemikehere1804 No it hasn't moved at all, I think I'm feeding him right, I just stuff a pinkie into his hide and I never see it again, I haven't looked in his hide in 3 months either btw
GOHERPING! I HAVE A VIDEO SUGGESTION! get an rc submarine or boat, strap a go pro on it and control it down the creeks near your house/ location and see all the animals and where is ends up!
Where did you get tiger salamanders?? They're impossible to find for my region, e.g., no seller ever has them or is able to ship them here, or even if they do and can, it's almost always a species that's illegal here because they're native to my state where it's illegal to own state-native species
@@realchiknuggets There is a reptile breeder called Underground Reptiles. I have read mixed reviews but they seem to have all kinds of salamanders. They have Eastern Tigers, yellow-barred tigers, and blotched tigers, which is what I wanted myself. A whole lot....I hope that helps

My snake drinks toilet water, we dont flush so it gets all the nutrients. For some reason my snake stopped moving a week ago, it just lays there. But that's normal right?
I have a bottled water dispenser thingy that has basically a really big water jug, and I fill up a squeeze water bottle to use for my snakes. It's a lot less plastic than regular bottles but still the same product which is good. Plus the bottles get picked up by the company and cleaned and reused so it's a bit more environmentally friendly. 10/10 have not had any problems with it so far.
Rain water isn't a good solution, although it contains some minerals, it really contains too little to be good consuming (for humans, or reptiles..) It also contains germs, is sometimes really polluted in some areas... I can also mention, collection methods are usually not very good (collected from roofs usually), which can then contain all kinds of bad things... Including parasites, because of stagnant water in collection systems... So yeah, really better than distilled water, or pond water, but definitely not in the "best range" of options.
Thank you! I want a green anole so i’m doing alot of research and this is just what i need thanks! Also, should i do the same thing to water that i use to bathe my lizard? Thanks!
Thanks. The only reason I want a green anole is because by parents don’t want a lizard that lives too long and they were the only easy short lifespan lizard i could find. But if i had a choice I would get a leopard gecko. :)

Hey Alex, I recently got a baby cornsnake. It's about 2 months old and I've had it for 2 weeks. It's been really defensive lately. Every time I reach In the tank it strikes at me. I feed it one pinky every Friday. It eats well and the pinkies are the right size. Should I feed it 2 pinkies every Friday or 1 pinky Tuesday and Friday?
Awesome video Alex! I have struggled a whole lot here in South Africa to get Repti Safe, so I opted to use Aqua Safe (The same I use for my Aquariums) it works really well, and I have had no problems with my Reptiles in the past. Love your channel!
your sure all the cities know what they ate doing? Ask Flint MI residents lol. Great video but most tap water that I've tested has a bit high ph level.
How high is high ph? Where can I find more about ph being bad for reptiles and amphibians? Did a little googling but haven't found any decent info. I've had my snakes on ph 8.2 water for the last 5 years. I've had bullfrog tadpoles develop fine in my pond that swings from ph 7.6 - 8.6
Helllllppppp!!!! My baby Australian children's python hasn't eaten in 2 1/2 weeks and he still won't eat. I've seen him eat tho at the reptile store. I need help!!!
If you have well water, or really any water, your local county extension agent, usually an outpost of a college, can perform a detailed water analysis for cheap. In Georgia, they can do two different tests, one for TDS (total dissolved solids) and a different test for bacteria. Search for County Agricultural Extension. The simple test confirmed for me that we live on a totally crappy well! We have a whole house particle filter & also two ZERO brand pitchet filters for dog water, making coffee etc. The filters aren't cheap ~$25.00/ea but a tester was included. You know your water sucks when your dog will drink from a puddle before drinking tap water! Love ur vids Alex, my grandson is turning 13 & he is being raised like his mom, part of a multi-species pack. Currently 2 dogs, 2 cats & our 10 year old Ball, Sulley. You can usually achieve the right temps for a corn snake with just a heat pad, which I would put as priority over lamps. But if you do happen to need even more heating, I'd add a lamp afterwards
Alex my lizard doesn't poop anywhere besides in it's water and it's a water dragon so they need a big bowl but I have to change it everyday is there anything I can do to get him to stop?btw your awsome.
I think a lot of people actually prefer that since it's easier, and water is best when changed daily anyway. But I doubt there's much you can do to change the habit since the water helps them.. go
Hi Alex! I was wondering if there are any better ways to keep my ball python terrarium more humid. I live in South Georgia, so it is always really dry here in the Summer. I already mist it, but I can't find any other ways. Thanks!
Josh Strickland Hey josh, as a long time keeper of tropical reptiles in an arid region I totally understand the struggles of trying to maintain a higher humidity. Personally I've had good luck with putting damp moss in a hide on the warm side of the enclosure, moving the water dish under their heat-lamp/over the heat-mat and/or partially covering the screen on the top of the enclosure (if you keep them in a glass aquarium with a screen top), since your problem could come from too much ventilation. Edited for grammatical error.
Josh Strickland Sure! I have a water dish filled partially with water and rocks with pillow moss growing on them, it's seems to keep the moisture up to have plants in there, if that helps. Good wishes to you and your ball python, I can tell he's in good hands.
Wrong as fuck, rain water has tons of pollution whatever is in te lake is in the rain etc medication excrement and other stuff you dont want to drink. In highly polluted areas it rains acid hence the term Acid rain it's not just something ya grandaddy says

The minerals in water, spring and tap water are inorganic. People and all other animals get all of their nutrients through food.
