If you end up keeping Kirsten long enough to restore her, I’d love to see the video! Kirsten is always my favorite. I love the homemade scarf too, I’m definitely a “seamstress-made” dress collector!
That video would be a good opportunity to show how to fix silver eye! I have a single seamstress-made jacket and that’s it. I already have too much stuff to get into a world that’s infinite 😂
@@idreamofjonny Yep, the seamstress dresses are a verrrrrry dangerous and slippery slope. I tell myself that I will stick with a couple of my favorite shops on Etsy and some secondhand outfits. But do I follow those rules? Nope….
I love her and the haul! I own almost all of what you got! I am so excited to see what she looks like when she is done and I’ll be keeping an eye out on The Pleasant Company collector page for her😍
Yep! From 1988 well into the 90s. They actually came in gorgeous boxes with stickers and hand-cut ribbons in 1986 and 1987. I’ll show some in a future episode!
I got the white body Samantha! You in inspired me! I am not sure she was a fair price, but oh well! I am very excited! Another great vid! Keep it up! Also, do you know of the UA-cam channel Munecas Poupees & Dolls? Allison has Kirsten’s collection and a white body! She is super knowledgeable about dolls!
Congratulations!! If you love the doll, you eventually get over how much she cost 😂 I love Allison’s channel - I’ve been watching her for a couple years now. I’ve rewatched her PC collection tours a several times!
i personally prefer the late 90’s-2000’s era of american girl stuff, like i’m not a fan of how a lot of the early dolls look, but regardless, i am SO obsessed with your channel lol. it’s just so fascinating to hear about the different variations of things and the history behind some of the stuff. i love hearing u talk about your dolls. i’m not subscribed to any american girl youtube channels, but i might subscribe to ur channel. i’m not sure though. but i love the videos u make lol they are so interesting. i learn something new in every video. also, i hope you would also do videos about the 90s and 2000’s american girl stuff once in a while (and maybe even more modern stuff too) but it’s just so fascinating to hear about the history and variations of this stuff about the dolls from the 80s, and i’d like to hear more stuff like this for the 90s and 2000’s dolls too! lol
Everything looks so cute! I finally was able to get a 90s Kirsten a year or so ago? I can't remember when I got her but it wasn't that long ago. So far all I have for her is her birthday outfit (that she came in) her meet outfit that I took off the 35th Anniversary Kirsten that I got, meet accessories, and randomly the Midsummer dress from 2004. I keep telling myself I'm gonna focus on getting her stuff, but I also have Felicity, Molly, and Josefina who I'm trying to find things for- and then I end up getting distracted by all the AG of Today clothes that I wanted as a kid. And on top of that I'm moving at the end of this year so it's... slow going to say the least ^^;
It’s so difficult because there are SOOOOOO many things to collect! I definitely feel like things are overflowing here and I need a reset 😂 I agree, that AGOT line is so distracting!!
I am waiting for my own whitebodied Kirsten. She is in the mail. I haven't been this thrilled in a long time. She is my third and last whitebodied dolls. She cost more than I wanted to pay for her but she was early and mint. And she came with outfit and accessories - all original, complete, and hers.
If she has all her original pieces and she’s mint, it definitely adds a ton to her value. Either way congratulations, that’s so exciting! I hope you love her!
White-Bodied dolls are so beautiful! Even in bad condition. Kirsten is one of my favorite American Girls. If you decide to restore her, I'd LOVE to see you're process!
Just putting it out there that I would absolutely take a broken bed or furniture - I love to DIY things and giving them new life, as well as getting AG clothes/furniture for the reduced price - and I'm sure it ended up with someone similar who either used it for parts or turned it into something great!
Did I sell you a first edition Kirsten work dress without realizing it was a first edition, or was that a different work dress you had back there? Lol Also, I would love a video on how you fix silver eye!
Um, possibly! Lol. To be fair the first year tags on this outfit don’t really change the value since it’s a later release. I’m just on a personal mission lol. Silver eye tutorial definitely in the works! 💚
Thank you for showing us your purchase. I have a question, I want to start collecting AG dolls, I saw a doll on eBay that had a tan body tag that says Made in Germany, do you know the year these dolls were made? thank you
Thanks Jonny, This was very useful. My now 40 y/o daughter does not want her 6 AG dolls from the 1980's to early 1990's so I am prepping them for sale. The most interesting is a white body WB Kirsten with "Meet " dress label of 1986. But I am not sure she is really an 86 as she lacks the "connected teeth seen in the 86 doll. Furthermore her eye color is not turquoise, it is not "dreamer" eye, rather it is a paler blue. Can you point me to any resources?
Can you please do tips for looking for and caring for an White body and 90s pleasant company dolls in what too look out when buying a White body doll's
Would you leave a 1987 Kirsten in her slightly faded Meet dress because it has a paper West Germany tag, or put her in a non-faded dress with a West Germany fabric tagged dress?
I would be interested in buying Kristen and maybe take that broke bed off your hands. I don't have one so it would be a starter for me. I don't see where to send a private message on here. :)

Awesome, thank you so much Elaine!! 🥰
My Kirsten collection is coming along. I still need a few things to complete my 80’s collection, but I’m getting close!
I absolutely love Kirsten

I never knew AG outfits used to come with bags! Very cool!

I know, I really love the craftsmanship of all the white body dolls. I’m hoping I have enough time to film her rehab - I would love to share!
Her bed is kind of inspiring me to make my own lol
That would be such a cool project! The construction isn’t that complicated, so definitely doable for many different skill levels!

Don't be too nonchalant about her hair ribbons. They fetch a lot on eBay.
I probably will keep all of them because we all know I’m all talk when I say I’m not adding more Kirsten dolls 😂
