Genuinely excellent advice! I started reading lecture slides and making notes *before* the lecture was scheduled when I was in my first year and it is so effective. The only issue is that I'm still so unsure of whether digital or physical notes are right for me. Majoring in a life science means a lot of diagrams but I find that I never go back to my physical notes later in semester since it's a hassle to switch between book and laptop :(( on the other hand note taking software can be pretty battery intensive so it can be risky to use when my laptop battery is low. Either way I love this video and my favourite tip is writing down page numbers into your notes!! so useful for going back when studying for exams :)
Hi Imogen, Many many thanks for the advice; I have started to follow your studying style and must say textbooks sense more. I can not wait for your advice on active recall and when to start studying for exams
Hey I love you so much and I look up to you as a inspiration to me I cry every time I see you but I cry because you put a smile on my face I have anxiety and I cry a lot because I think I am not a normal person like everyone else but seeing you every time you post it makes me feel good about myself and I carry on and if I get to the point where I am down I just put your video on and not only it lights up my face it makes me feel I am a good strong person again thank you. Ps if I can give you a big hug to pay you back because u don’t know how much you mean to me I would give you a big hug if I could you are AMAZING I LOVE YOU SO MUCH XXXXX ❤️
Thank you for recommendations!! Can you recommend sites like THE ATLAS OF ECONOMIC COMPLEXITY for example, with which I could study economic geography? From Russia with love
Hi Daniel, Ah nice, I think the one thing I’d say is make sure you’re not doing all your work on your laptop because you won’t have spell/ grammar check in the exam at the end of the year. Just doing some work on paper first throughout the year really helps you incrementally prepare for the summer exam. Also it sounds obvious but just make sure you do all your formatives because that’s the most useful feedback you’ll get. Even if your effort is a bit half hearted (in a busy week) it’s better to submit something than nothing!
