I really loved this video because it was informative, chill and enjoyable to watch
From everything I have watched from you this was the best video ever, Congrats and great job Dan.
If you don't mind some advice from a random Thai like me, i'd like to share my though about food.
Guess what, I also don't eat spicy food, therefore I don't eat Thai food like, Papaya salad, Tomyum, Green Curry, and much more...yeah, I look like a wierdo among Thais.
But hey, many foreigners don't know about the fact that there are non-spicy Thai food out there as much as spicy Thai food, and that's the reason why a whimpy Thai like me managed to survive in this country for more than 30 years. lol
I assume that you might have already know some of these non-spicy Thai food (eg. casual noodle soup, pad see ew, etc.), but the variaty of food in Thailand is actually insane, which I'm pretty sure there there are still much more for you to discover. In the mean time you might finally found something that fit your taste, who know ! And that might help you a lot when you feel tired of home cooking or want to eat out with budget.
Living in London is a joke. I'd say you definitely underestimated how much it costs to live there comfortably.
Not to mention Londonstan is an absolute sheethole recently. You would have to live in a gated community to not get mugged/stabed/rpd daily... So yeah, 5-8k a month maybe for comparable lifestyle?
yeah like I have a friend that he had a dream to live in London, I said that its too expensive and wont be there for a long time and he went. After 3 months he came back and he said you were right ahahahaha
Ok great ❤ thanks for sharing this brother. God Bless 🙏🏼
it is wild what some people say you need per month in Bangkok... seen some suggest things like 3k, this seems more realistic...
Don't you pay like less than half for youtube premium in thailand compared to uk?
You have a good broadband, do you mind what provider your using? I'm currently just using my sim hot-spot but it's capped at 100gb per month. Cheers
I'm moving to Bangkok next week. Which condo are you in? I'm spending the first week in a hotel while I go hunting for a condo.
Who wants to live in the UK?😂
สวัสดีค่ะ เจนี่ตามมารับชมและเป็นกำลังใจให้นะคะ สู้ๆค่ะ
You should like cook for us thai food maybe or talk about the food
I enjoy watching your journey there. You have a perfect voice for a relaxing vlog :) Keep it up, as it is quite interesting! It would be really interesting to see more of your outings out and about in Bangkok.
you must be a professional trader :)
Looking sharp today
How much did your language course cost?
Does Khao Yai have a lot of good infrastructure for tourists like could I easily get a driver or even grab?
I think you had a copy paste fail because when you added rent and travel to your December expenses, food fell to £171.
How can you stay in Thailand for so long? A Visa can only be extended up to 90 days. But I want to stay in Thailand for at least 1-2 years. How could I do it?
I have enough savings to live there for 1-2 years and also a little bit of a passive income. But how do I do it? I want to rent an apartment like you have for at least 6 months but the tourist visa only allows me to stay for 90 months or even less. Do I have to fly in and out every 90 days LOL. Would that work
great info dear,, been to bangkok once but didn't went there for banging 😅 but on a different motive, Sorry but I didn't liked bangkok at all !! it's similar to manila, philippines but in manila you will get more english speaking people and bit nicer than thais. pollution is super high in manila since this is the one and only actual city philippines has so far. I will advice you guys to live in palawan instead of manila so many world class beaches there.
and with 600 quids a month is enough for a single person. philippines i way cheaper than thailand I think
Nice shirt
Are you living with someone?
Money
I guess I could eat a lot cheaper than you because I'm vegetarian and so I don't have to buy meat which is rather expensive
don't buy your veggies and fruits from supermarket, buy instead from Pickup truck veggie vendors!!
Who cares. Everyone is different
Handsome. Intelligent. Masculine. Regal.
Wow, so insightful! I would say using a bidet instead of toilet paper will definetly keep your costs down. 🚰
People who are complaining Thailand is no longer cheap should watch this video. Fact is Thailand is still very cheap but you just have to turn off your 'vacation mode' and start living the similar lifestyle you did in your home country. Because in your home country you don't go to bars every night, you eat mostly at home, you don't spend much money on girls, beer and wine, etc. So if you have some self control, you would save so much money.
I'm a person who knows how to cook (I own many restaurants so I can say I'm a legit cook.) Believe me western food is the easiest kind to cook. Especially those junk food in the restaurants back home are mostly frozen food that you can buy in Lotus or Macro too. With a little practice you can make fried chicken as good as Popeye. Also you don't need to shop at Lotus all the time because the local markets are so much cheaper. You just have to explore and you may find many amazing things like a vendor at my local market is selling her salad for $1 per box. If you want quality meat you can buy wholesale price at Makro or Costco.
PS there are also several good and cheap western style restaurants you can go to, in the price range of 150-200 Bahts. Do your research, places like Eat Am Are still exists.😁
