This video has been up for 10 years now, and I've watched it at least 4 times. Love it! I can't (and don't want to) even imagine what kind of miserable life the 47 people who disliked it must be living.

Those 47 people probably live in an urban jungle with an HOA and some 21 year old giy doing 100 mph past there house in a 25 mph zone.LOL
A real couple o' good ol' boy's living the good life like they know it. More power to ya guys.
My grandpa had a cabin on the Kentucky,ran trot lines and hunted and fished around those parts up to the day he died. Never wanted to go anywhere else,
that's contentment.
I would absolutely watch a fishing show with these guys. Different guest musician each week, playing and fishing.
I kind of envy them and their peacful life style. Wish I was going down that river in their house boat.
Some people may have thought these guys were crazy, building this boat. Now look at them, having the time of their lives. What a GREAT idea.

Now you see, why can't we have a reality TV show about THESE guys?

Just looked back on this and realized this is the single thing that sent me into a shanty/house boat/raft frenzy that has led up to me making plans to raft down the Big Sip! Thanks guys! PS: I was born in Kentucky!

at first i was shocked, but then i loved it! no mortgage, credit cards, time clocks, boss, deadlines, day care, traffic, gas bills, etc. they own their own lives. love it!

I read about the Moron Brother and this video in the Kentucky Living magazine I got in the mail today and just had to watch this. I'm glad I did. Now I want a old river houseboat even more. Talk about a great vacation!
I would give everything I have ever earned to LIVE on a houseboat like this. I grew up in the country too and find my peace with nature. I should have never listened to the the idiots telling me I had to "get ahead"! Live and learn.
P.S.: Bluegrass is my favorite country music. I loved it when the "Darllins" played on the Andy Griffith Show when I was a kid!

My grandpap loved this old river and spent many years living in a cabin,running trot lines.These guys are really funny.One of the songd on their CD is about a guy's wife trying to break the tobacco chewing habit.

you need to make a trip the third weekend of september to winfield, ks for the national flatpick championship. One of the best bluegrass festivals around. alot of the best modern bluegrass today.

The way you eat them bone carp is you boil em till the bones and meat separates, let the meat cool down, flake it up in a bowl, add a little cornmeal and flour, onion and egg, then fry it up in bacon grease like you would Salmon Patties. Makes good eating.

The best way to get around the bones in a buffalo is to leave them in and pressure cook the meat, which makes the bones soft. Then you make croquets, just like salmon. You won't notice the bones and they improve the flavor and add calcium.
