I have 4 pro divers and they're all great - the NH35A movement is really good - mine actually fell off my wrist while riding my motorcycle at 3am on the freeway (the pin had been tweaked after a few incidents/scuffles - im a bouncer) , i came back around and picked up the watch and it still runs fine today 6 years later
To be honest, my first ever automatic watch purchase is in fact the Invicta Pro Diver 8926OB and honestly it's the best Rolex Submariner homage I've ever come across, so many people have mistaken the watch for an actual Rolex. I've had the watch for 9 months now and have to say that the NH35A Seiko movement is what makes the watch run so smooth without issues
@@haychproductionz1998 i cant wear autos they tend to get whacky with magnets, so i cant really daily them, and for the time to wear a dress watch dunno if a invicta diver is really a good dress watch maybe in goldish color but dunno. I also own a duro which i like a lot.
This is for you and other Watch youtubers out there - pls pls stop mentioning ppl who hate Invictas, bc the ppl who hate Invictas and it's logos, etc. are watch snobs that are JEALOUS that REGULAR PPL are going to ENJOY a high quality great looking Rolex Sub homage for a great price.
Great review. Love the channel. Invicta makes the best watches on the market for the money. The average person, who is not into horology, is clueless about brands. They go strictly by looks. I have about thirty Invictas in my large collection and I get far more comments on the Invictas than other brands. An acquaintance of mine commented on one of my Pro Divers and asked what it cost. I asked him to guess and he said $400-500. He was shocked at the actual price. Let’s all be honest, once you get above about $500, your paying for the name. By many estimates, even the revered Rolex is worth about $500 in actual materials. I’ll stick with my $100 Invicta and invest the other $9,900 elsewhere. My ego will survive it. Keep up the vids.
you are so right. I get tired watch snobs. My Invicta pro diver automatic gets complements, keeps great time. Most people are delighted when I tell them the price, a few snobs turn away, but guess what? My Invicta often keeps as good or better time, and looks as good or better than their over priced whatever! Btw, I've seen the nh35a movement on $300 and up watches! Really!
I enjoy your reviews. I got a Pro Diver 40mm about 3 weeks ago for around $60. I've worn it continuously since I got it - painting the house, cleaning up yard waste, going out to restaurants, swimming in the pool. all my normal acitivities except in the shower - and I can't believe how much I like it. I have not one complaint considering the price. If I paid 5x more I'm not sure I'd find anything wrong other than the bracelet which is about as you'd expect at this price. I love the counterweight on the seconds hand, too. The etching on the side I've come to find endearing, against all expectations. Invicta Pro Divers are awesome watches, amazing value. I'm going to get colors other than my black and silver, too. A high quality watch from a company that will be around in 5 years for this price? Get one. Or several.
I love mine. Ive had for about a year and a half. I wear it everyday to work at a warehouse, so Im not exactly ginger with it. It takea bangs and scrapes all the time. The crystal has held up perfectly. It does gain about 35 seconds a day and doesnt have much for power reserve. But for $72.00? Best watch Ive had for under $300.00
Hello fellow Navy man. I was in from 62-65, destroyed a couple watches going up and down the ship's ladders. I'm also a cheap watch man, lot of Chinese watches, a few good Swiss ones. Nothing over 700 bucks. I enjoyed your video....Cheers
I got the pro diver with the sellita movement for less than $200 and was amazed by it. Definitely a keeper for me. If only Invicta would put a better lume on their pro divers I believe it'll sell better 😁
Nice review of the Invicta Pro Diver 42mm. I appreciate your breakdown of what you like, bracelets, bezels and dials. Invicta use to sell a lot of upgraded models, but I think their core has always been good looking watches, cheap.
I work on yachts, all our clients are wealthy and wear luxury watches but you would be surprised how many compliments I receive about my many Invictas, especially when I don't take them off to swim in the sea, most of them have never even heard of the brand (wonder if any of them have secretly joined the Invicta fan boys club?)
Another great review for a good value watch. Thanks for sharing your 17 year experience with your old Invicta watch. That’s a testimony to its build quality. In those 17 years, did you ever have the watch cleaned, oiled, or serviced? If not, That watch gets an A+ for durability. High and Swiss manufacturers recommend a cleaning every 3-5 years. Thank you for bringing Artem straps to my attention. I’ve never heard of modding a watch before this video. Why not? Keep up the great work.
Another great video, I just bought the Sellita 9937OB, it’s a killer Pro Diver, do love yours as well, I’m a fan boy, you also have the same mannerisms as a comic book creator named Doug TenNapel
Like you, Invicta was my gateway drug into the world of mechanical automatic watches. I got a Pro-Diver on Amazon Prime day for $46 a few years ago. I figured, NH 35 Seiko movement, that's a no-brainer. It still runs fine, but is showing a lot of wear and tear, and it hasn't lived a hard life. If you want a well built $300 pro-diver with ceramic bezel insert, great lume, and sapphire crystal with a PT 5000 or SW 200 movement, get a Cronos or San Martin. That's what I did, and i've never looked back at Invicta.
I’ve done the same, I took some sand paper and lightly removed the high polish. It makes the watch appear to be a bit more of a rugged tool watch. I’ve also removed the cyclops, I know some people enjoy or don’t mind them, but I despise them. Lol
I agree, the polish makes it look cheaper than it is. I brush mine down to blend the Invicta label, so it does not jump out at you. Thank for your review.
I’m trying to find one at a reasonable price. I think that’s the one that just has Invicta printed on top of the dial. Which I think is better than the shiny logo
I have the 1953 and 9937ob. 1953 is a great watch with a lower quality bracelet but good finish. The 9937 is a fantastic watch. But after wearing for 2 months now I hear clicking sound with the play on the baz3l when I press it in some positions.
The only two downsides are that chinsy Jubilee bracelet and that branding on the side of the case. I have this model and within 2 minutes of it being out of the box, I removed that bracelet and installed a grey/black bond nato. I also installed jumbo spring-bars. 👌😂 I've had this watch in a few pools and in the ocean. Its been in salt water to a depth of 15-20 feet and it never wavered. Its a good watch.
Thanks for the strap info maybe when you change the straps or links on bracelets can you show the how to and cheap tools we can use too! Thanks I just got a citizen produce in blue myself and I like it better then my Apple Watch
Also the 31290 is one you’d really like…no date/bubble all satin/brushed and no Invicta on side or over branding on face. A very likable 6538 homage but in 40mm The bezel and face are matte…the face is about the size of this 42mm so it looks more like a 42 but wears like a 40.
Another great review! I do like an Invicta diver, and changing out the strap does save you from a little self torture, haha. Looking forward to your review of Artem straps, had my eye on a loop less sailcloth.
I own a few of these in different colorways. After watching this video, I ordered one and it arrived last week, one day after ordering it. $88. To date, it has lost less than one second since setting it last Wednesday...today is Tuesday. Most of my other Pro Divers are accurate, but not THIS accurate.
Randy don't clean up your old Invicta, that patina is very cool. I just bought a Pagani diver (still in the post), a bit turned off by the inscribed brand name on the Invicta.
I'm waffling so hard between the 40 & 42mm ... but the all white lumen on the 42 is so much nicer, but I agree on the strap, I'd rather have oyster or all black.
I got this 42mm just after CWM was launched. I wear it every day. My band is slightly different however! Still looking to get a budget watch to scratch my Speedmaster itch.
I have several Invicta's in my collection, I would like better lume though, too skinny for their humongo line up but for the price point a great bargain. Wish they would simply put the true retail price on their little tags though.
Yeah. The Invicta letters on the side are a bit much. Have ya seen the Invicta 1953? Hey, cheap watch guy, I would love to see ya do a review of the Invicta 1953. I am thinking about getting one.
