Everything happens for a reason sis so know that everything you went through has made you a better person, in the end, I went through something similar, but in retrospect, I needed to go through that traumatic experience because it taught me so much about myself that I don't think I would have learned otherwise and I've become such a better person to myself and those around me because of it.

Happy birthday!!! Lol, I tried dating apps a few years ago and never again. It's such a waste of time. Truly. Most people never say anything or respond to messages. If they do happen to say something, it tends to be lacking in substance or overtly sexual. There are so many fake profiles too. I'd rather meet someone organically. For example, at school, through a fitness class, at the library, etc. We're both there at the same place and time because we both have a vested interest in that topic/activity. Of course, COVID makes dating this way more difficult. I need that one-on-one, in-person time with someone. A relationship that starts online and stays online is just not a relationship for me. There is so much nuance and detail lost virtually. I was hoping to meet someone through my classes at college. There was a moment where I had thought that I had met a potential partner but that ship sank real quick. Even though I'm a double major, I was only able to take in-person classes (pre-corona) in one of my majors as the other is quite competitive and classes filled up before I could register. I legitimately do not know or have a single friend made from my 2nd major. Now that everything is on Zoom, I have found it rather challenging to develop any sort of connection with someone, friendship or otherwise. I'm about to graduate in June and I feel like so much of what I had hoped college would be and what I would get out of it has not transpired or come to fruition. It's almost as if I were a ghost; no lasting impact was made in my time here at college. At least that's how it feels.
I’m in the process of taking the LSAT and I was looking for people to follow on UA-cam to get some motivation to get through this part of the process. I’m glad I found your channel. You are a naturally funny person.

Thank you for being so honest about your trauma. I got out of a relationship that almost killed me. When it all happened, I was like: yes girl, you made it. But my sister was not having it. That was hard. Because for the first time in a LONG time I was able to actually feel sorry for myself and acknowledge everything I had been through. I’m afraid to get into a new relationship because of everything. I just don’t have it in me anymore, I think. I cannot deal with more crazy families, narcissistic behaviors, gaslighting, verbal abuse. So many people have gotten so good at hiding that until you’re deep into the relationship and they start to show their true colors. I’m sorry for everything you went thru and I hope we both can heal and get all the happiness we deserve.

I'm also in law school (although in a different country) but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one whose excitement sort of... diminished lol but it happens to everyone (i suppose), we just need to keep doing our best :)

Your conversation about the traumatic situations that you have been through reminds me that there is a type of therapy called Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). In this type of therapy, clients take on a sort of "sick role". This helps decrease guilt that you can feel after being a part of certain, possibly traumatic, situations. I would take on this role and tell yourself that it is okay to feel these feelings, but that they aren't YOUR feelings. (ALSO, I love your videos! They keep me going through grad school!)

As someone who has had 3 black cats (one fully black cat, a tuxedo cat and a more black and white cat) I can fully say that they are the SWEETEST!! I wish they would be adopted more and I can’t wait to adopt one once I live on my own! (Bonus if it’s an older cat like you said, they also deserve so much more love)
As soon as you started talking about the profiles and the fish and then the American flag I felt that to the core. I really thought the same about changing minds but then I realized I didn’t have the emotional capacity to deal with some people and I’m 2 1/2 years into a relationship that finally just feels right. Because some of the people down here in the south are just trifling and we do not have time for that energy from them.
I look to your videos for comfort and they are soooo entertaining and honestly clarify some feelings that I have in myself and have never truly thought about so just wanted to say I’m a huge fan and have been binging your videos for the past week!

On studying the boring first year law units...they sucked, but when you are out as a practising lawyer, no matter what area of law...those units are relevant! And with hindsight I now realise how much it informs my current role even though I don’t practice property or torts...the key legal theories are what are relevant ! So it sucks, but it is useful in the long run :)

2) Hearing that stuff about your past relationship is so wild especially because I remember watching your Italy vlogs and even your videos when you were bopping around different Airbnb's at the beginning of quarantine and I would always think "wow, its so nice that they get to experience all of these travels together" just goes to show you never really know whats going on in someones life, So sorry you had to go through all of that and really happy that you got out of that situation.
