Your video's are influencing me! Lol. When you did the run by of your diorama at the beginning of the video (5:01 & 5:34) I noticed your street signs had 3 (odd number) straps attached to the polls. Made me think of your previous video where you showed us how to apply straps to the downspouts and I thought to myself that street signs need to be attached to the polls somehow! What a nice little subtle difference than having a model railroad sign just glued to the post. My street signs will now have straps around the polls! Thanks for another informative video. Keep them coming. Really enjoy watching them.

Great observation! This often overlooked mathematical equation exits in art. We often do not notice it. When we build it in, it helps to establish the collective composition which the eye "subliminally" registers. This is what I mean by, "passing the eye test." Cheers.

You just answered the question I asked in the previous video.. 90 degree bends.. Got It! thanks. Even though the power box is still white the way it was accomplished with the multiple conduit..the mind visualizes it silver as seen in the hardware store. Amazing. This series is awesome. Thank you for taking the time to share these time treasured methods.

I like to view the layout or diorama as a combination of multiple impressions where the imagination fills in the blanks - Boomer.

Nice addition of the animal stories. Adds a personal touch to an excellent how to video series. I used to have a cat and a dog, that cat was the boss. I have to say your series are getting me moving on all sorts of tasks on the layout. Now I'm down rearranging buildings at an angle. Thx

That is awesome! Cat's like to assert the boss thing all the time. I would have to say my dog kilo was boss over any cat though. Lol . ..

I am really glad to hear this CB. I hope you are inspired to dive-in and go with what you feel instead of being "hog-tied" with prototypical dogma. I let the prototype inspire me, not enslave me. Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Yeah, I had 2 dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, (brother and sister) in the 70's. Great dogs, Clyde died of old age at Chubb Lake, BC, doing what he liked...camping.
Another dog, Pete, Rat terrier Aussie mix. The smartest dog I ever had. He loved Taco Bell tacos 🌮.
Dogs seem to know what their "jobs" are. Each of mine instinctively knew what they were supposed to do. Each one different but talented.
    The stories they could tell...
    OH, thanks for the teaching...

That was awesome. Your dog looks like my Dog Charisma who passed a few years back. You know a power meter could be what's at the foot of the building there connected to one of the conduit. A 60 thou square with a polished piece of clear rod glued to it so the meter can be read. and then a beaker box next to that. I see your point. You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.

Just for your general getting stuff right knowledge, 1/4 inch is closer to 6mm than it is to 20mm, 19mm is near enough 3/4 inches, I was unfortunate enough to have to go to school around the time the UK was switching from feet and inches to metric, so I find it really easy to go between the two in my head, was a bit older when learning about weights and volumes though so all metric there LOL

Thank You for the comment. I take it for granted people know how to convert and measure things. I wish I never had to measure things anymore. At least I am with background building flats. Now, I just wing it where I can . . . except if it`s a "fine scale" model. I never did like math, nevertheless, in art, the mathematical equation is always there even when we don`t pay attention to it. The 1/4 inch/20mm note on the cutting-board was just a rough guage implying "no need to be accurate here" when cutting straps. It wasn`t meant to be a conversion between the two. Cheers.

I’m in tears right now laughing about Jethro and Pablo! 🤣 My Siamese cat Roy is asking for his own personal dog for him to train now... Is it weird that I am watching this while cleaning my airbrush?

Smart dog you said ? I had a mix husky, escape queen she was. Left her inside CN caboose with window door open. When i return she was outside. She climb conductor seat, walk on its desk and pass through the window opening. Next day i left but with close window. Outside again ! While standing and scratching the doir, she hit the locking pin, put it down, then succeed in turning stiff T door knob and pull open the door. She could di that in matter of seconds. So i had no choice than to chain the door from outside. A 60 pounds dog passing through a 6 or 8 " opening window. Amazing.
On a sad note, Noirot my oldest cat passed away on july 3rd. He was 21 years 10 months and 6 days. Or 104 years in human counting. Being born home, it´s quite a long odyssey partner that is gone. Since Boomer lost a 1 year cat with renal issue, Noirot lived many years with one too. I gave him renal food + medications for stimuling pooping (no fiber in its food). Once it get clogged and just seeing the vet finger emptying.....poor cat.
Boomer learned to avoid trackage too close from fascia and risk of fall. Same for me. House is about 68 meters or more than 200 feet from tracks.
Just in case autoracks decide to not follow the rails....
To our south of the border friends, happy 4th of july.
