If anybody talks about Metallica requiring insane stamina in the picking hand, let them try to play any song of this album.
Ah ah yes if you compare Sepultura riffs stamina, and Megadeth technical riffs like poison was the cure or take no prisoners. Metallica is easy 😁
Well, BTR is super hard stamina wise there's a big BUT Sepultura do take a rest with some riffs in between are done alternate picking, while most Metallica mostly Master of Puppet are done almost fully down picking.
@@nrutal that is true but for me it requires just as much effort. alternate picking 16ths at 220 bpm is really tiring as well. I can pick my way through MoP easy, but this? nope. but it might be a personal thing ofc.

@@Thijscube you miss something, Beneath the Remains is full of 230-240 bpm...for a guitar player who want to play covers at original speed it would be wishful to be 220😅

Absolutely killed it! This album is their best (Schizophrenia is a close second), and this and Sarcastic Existence are probably my favourite tracks from it. That was great to watch you nailing it!
The cool slide up the fretboard in the middle of the opening tapping part of the solo, Andreas Kisser did the first slide with his picking hand, then followed it up with the fretting hand for the second slide (Dimebag does something similar in the solo to Walk). I only mention it because it looks badass when he does it, and you might enjoy doing it too haha

Thanks a lot, I think that at 2'12 the tapping slide he use both hand. You have 2 notes, 2 slides, one with each hand. First with the left hand and second with the right hand, like Dimebag in the walk solo

I have been thinking through the past almost 30 years since this album released there will be no better trash metal album like Beneath the remains based on my personal opinion - and finally I have to realize the answer is: NO - of course - never say never, but I will be very curious - will any band reach this level to me? I am not sure. I have been listening Beneath the Remains since released. Fast, complex, brutal but also has melody in it, and the lyrics! I especially like Andreas Kisser solos. Thanks for your video as I have been searching old Sepultura songs for learning and practicing on guitar. I think I will take look on it in this at the weekend :-) Great performance, great song! Don't stop it! ;-)

Beneath was Sepultura's finest moment. They never recaptured this intensity speed and creativity, Arise was solid but overproduced and a bit too safe and predictable, and from there and the Cavalera's departure forget it.

Je t'avoue que j'ai aussi décroché depuis le départ de Max malheureusement il est irremplaçable Sepultura ce n'est plus du tout pareil sans lui ça n'a plus d'âme.
