Thanks, Jim. I saw a few things I didn't realize were available. The one thing that's missing is the ability to edit the next photo without going back to the Catalog. I'm all the time getting into a situation where I need to make small edits 10 to 15 pictures and I have to go back the Catalog each time to get the next one. A film strip, like they had in 4, would be great.
thanks and yes I think a lot of folks have asked for that!
Some very useful shortcuts. Thanks for sharing Jim.
thanks for watching Ron!
I knew about the space bar in catalog view but not in edit mode. Thanks for that one. Also i didn't know about navigating the catalog with arrow keys when zoomed in. Nice.
thanks for watching!
Thanks Jim for this very useful video. A cheat sheet of these simple quick commands would be very useful.
thanks Ken and yes I agree, but also note there is a list of all keyboards shortcuts in the manual here: userguide.skylum.com/hc/en-us
Wonderful video. It is so much more useful to see the shortcuts in action, than to go through the manual and read about the shortcuts. ( Who likes to read the manuals anyway?🤔)
haha true thanks for watching!
Great video full of tips. Thank you!
thanks for watching!
Bonjour un grand merci pour tous ces précieux renseignements.
thanks so much for watching!
These are really helpful Jim! You should do more "shortcuts" videos. Interesting how some shortcuts are obvious ('E' for edit or 'C' for crop), while others are not ('L' for Catalog? Why not just stick with the 'G' that Lightroom uses for the gallery? And the one for editing is so non-obvious that I've forgotten it already 😅).
LOL thanks Carl and I guess L is sorta for Library vs Catalog
Thanks for the info!
There is one thing that would DRASTICALLY speed up editing and bring me back to Neo, and that is having the ability to advance the next photograph while in edit mode. It is SO time-consuming when I have to edit hundreds of photographs and have them uploaded the same evening. This is the sole reason I don't use Neo right now.
Sorry for the rant. I love Neo and your tutorials, but it is too cumbersome for my workflow. I comment periodically because I'm hoping the folks at Skylum read the comments.😊
thanks so much and yes I know a lot of folks would love that, and yes I do think some of them come by and read the comments at times - thank you!
Nice one Jim!
thanks for watching!
Nice video!
thank you!
TThanks Jim, another useful video. I'm pretty sure that Skylum have promised to provide an easier way to move between photos in Edit, so keep your fingers crossed. On to my own question - is there any keyboard shortcut for the rotation action in Crop tool - I regularly have problems using the touchpad on my laptop for this and it tends to rotate a ittle bit as I let go - so if anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it
thanks but I don't know of anything for rotating in Crop mode, sorry
Jim, do you have a sheet with all the ways to help me to remember all the short cut keys shown during your tutorial "Luminar Neo: Simple Shortcuts for Higher Productivity".
I have not compiled a sheet but you can find them all here: userguide.skylum.com/hc/en-us/articles/11542922514194-Keyboard-Shortcut-Keys
Jim, do you have a list of the hot keys that you could share?
It's in their manual which is here: userguide.skylum.com/hc/en-us/articles/11542922514194-Keyboard-Shortcut-Keys
Any shortcuts for zooming and scrolling during an edit?
Do you mean something different than the Cmd++ I showed here?
@@JimNix Perhaps not. However, you mentioned those controls as a shortcut for actions while navigating the catalog and not that they would also work during edits.
@@leonfisher oh did I? It works during edit too.
