People should understand understand this is not music. This is exercises. This is what you do so that you can play drums better. This is not playing drums.... Something like this would be annoying to most people including other musicians, but it's what we do to get better

It's really important that people understand this as an exercise. This isn't playing drums. This is what you do to play drums better. It takes a little bit of discipline and you don't have to be this good at it. But all the effort you put into the exercise will make you a better drummer

I think Mr.Igoe is a true master.
He knows perfectly how to move his fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, upper body, knees and feet of his body for the phrase he wants to play.
And it looks natural, smooth, and very effortless, but at the same time it makes sense from a kinematic point of view.

Love this stuff...I've been using the Sonny stuff for tears...Shaugnessy had me doing all the Adler exercises and Chapin had me doing the Moller stuff....I teach it to my students..Tommy...I put an old 13'' drumhead under my pad so you don't hit the snare drum brackets.
