For me, the problem with the 350's - and I particularly like the Classic - is their 90-100 kph cruise speed. Here in West Australia the open-road speed limit is 110 kph (68 mph) and the idea of being overtaken by massive 3-or-4-trailer road-trains thrills me not at all. This is due to the dangerously-long overtaking time required by the vehicle and the side-draughts, which have a tendency to pull the rider into the side of the vehicle. Add to that the bumpy state of our roads and it's a scenario unlikely to grant the rider a long or healthy life. I sincerely hope that the just-released Hunter 350 has a remapped ECU that allows a higher cruise speed, enabling the rider to no longer be a mobile chicane.
Hi Chris definitely a 650 required. I believe RE are producing a classic 650 next year . I think the Meteor 650, the Himalayan 450 are next. When the Hunter is released and if the remapped ecu is better is may be possible to get a friendly RE dealer to re flash a classic 350 🤔.
Funny, I was at a RE dealer this afternoon and they exact thought went through my mind: which one is my favourite? I choose the GT650 as a sporty option next to my Z900RS. Maybe later adding the Classic 350. Great video, keep it up!
Thank you WLTR LG. A good choice. The GT makes for an excellent 2nd bike While the classic is great for nipping out locally or when you want a chilled ride 👍
Excellent concise review Sir! I've got a '20 INT650 and a '21 Meteor. You are right on! The RE 350's are wonderful back road and city mounts. Smooth and light. Loved the OEM windscreen and colorway on your test bike.
Thanks for this. Thinking of buying one or the other of these. (Himalayan or Scram). I'm 59, a "returning rider". Leaning toward the Himalayan. I have read that all (new) Himalayans now will have the same updated ECU as the Scram. So check with the dealer before you buy I guess. But the Classic 350 also appeals to me. If I had the money and the garage space I would have one each of all Royal Enfield models.
Hi Scott. After riding all the range I thought the SCRAM was the better than the Himalayan but I have recently re ridden a Classic 350 and I would go for that. Test ride all three. All the best 👍
My dealer has not received any chrome 350s yet and he wasn't sure if they have reached as far as the western US yet. The one you rode looks really nice and sounds fantastic. Enjoyed your comments but soon you're going to have to try the Scram 411 and the new Hunter!😎
Hi Mike. Yes it’s a fantastic bike. Seriously thinking of adding one to the stable to sit buy the my 500 trials.. I tested the SCRAM 411 a few weeks back. The review is on the channel. Loved it 👍
Hi Jack, My name is Pete, (using my wife's UA-cam) I hope all well, I am a new subscriber, but I have watched your channel for a good while, in fact it was one of your videos that got me to buy the classic 500 Enfield, I purchased one of the last before they finished production because of the exhaust emission laws, mine is in the dessert storm colour. I really enjoyed your videos and reviews, but you haven't put anything on for a year, so I hope all is well, I haven't passed my test yet hope to do it sometime in the future, I'm not to far away from Chester, maybe some day we could meet up and have a coffee and maybe take a ride out to that finest pub in Cheshire The Pheasant Inn, and have one of those fine cold Guinness on a lovely summers day, by the way I am 62, and I also purchased the 650 interceptor, so when I have passed my test I can ride further afield possibly Yorkshire Whitby, Scarborough etc, So hope alls well Jack, hope to see some new videos soon All the best Pete
Hi Pete thank you for your lovely note. Apologies for not responding earlier. It’s been a difficult couple of years. I have had to re focus my time due to family commitments. Close family members needed my support, I lost a very close friend last summer, and have just lost the will to do any UA-cam. I keep thinking of returning now that I am turning the corner so to speak. Still love my 500. Hope you get your test passed soon. It’s not easy these days. Let me know how you go on. Coffee would be good. Take care 👍👍👍
@JackBonhamMotorcycles Hi Jack, Thank you for replying. I know how difficult things can be. I have very recently just lost my brother-in-law, and I have known him since I was 13. It came as a great shock as he is the same age a myself, so maybe in time, you maybe be able to get back into your UA-cam and I hope I can pass my test it certainly is going to be a challenge, I think it's the theory side that may be problematic, I use to work in a motorcycle shop many decades ago in Winsford called Sports Equip, we sold Yamaha and we had branches in Winsford, Northwich and Runcorn. Runcorn sold Kawasaki, and Northwich was Yamaha, and competition bikes, we in Winsford introduced Suzuki at the latter end, hoping it would keep the business alive, but the grim reaper came calling 🤣🤣, and that was the end (dugdales, Arthur Boddies, and Bill smiths, which is still going who you do the reviews for) sadly the other two went as well and yeah that would be great to meet up and have a coffee, All the best Pete
So what’s your verdict? I test drove all five of them today. Considering the geographical, climate and infrastructural difference, I think I am going to go with the interceptor. Though I love the looks of classic 350 matt black. Felt young again 😂
They are all great bikes for different reasons but my choice based on my riding preferences would be the classic 350. It’s just such a great bike if you don’t need speed or power. Will cruise along all day at 60 👍
Hi Scott. Thank you for asking. 👍It’s been a difficult summer. I have simply not had the time to make any content. Two of my close family members have been unwell and have needed my care and support for the last 4 months. It’s just life getting in the way 😃. 👍
I went for the Classic 350, it fits in nicely alongside my T120 Bonnie and my V-Strom 1050XT.
Great choice 👍

My choice as well ! Perfect!!
It’s a great bike 👍

Thank you Michael. Yes I love the RE range so much to offer and at a great quality and price. Brings the fun back into Motorcycling 👍

I'm drawn to the classic as a first bike (I will mainly do country roads). I want to do the IAM course though so I may be better with the Inteceptor.
Anymore reviews, ? I enjoyed your wax jacket reviews, hoping to hear from you soon

or…..the RE Hunter? Out November I believe. Seen the initials advertisement and looks great to be fair….super colour schemes too.
Yes it looks great. Can’t wait to test ride one 👍

Hi Jack, when are we going to see a 650 Suoer Meteor review?
Hi
What gloves are you wearing.
Ps I’ve got an Interceptor
Hi Beverley. They are the Predator gloves by GoldTop 👍. Great bike by the way 👍
Hello Jack: I came across your channel and quite like it but it seems that your last content was around one year ago. Is your channel still active.
Bon jugement et Excellent choix !😀 Le mien aussi👌✌️🇨🇵
Thank you Alain 👍

RE has launched hunter 350. Its lighter than classic bullet
Yes seems agile and quicker 👍. I also like the style 👍
Hey Jack, are you alright? Haven‘t seen anything from you in a while…
Hey Jack. You OK? No vids for a while.
