I've never heard anyone ever talk years later about that awesome layup they had. I have heard the comment, "do you remember when I made that nearly impossible shot when I split those trees and skipped off the rock and made that eagle" years after it happened. Go for the scene out of Tin Cup, play aggressive and make that one in a million shot that nobody even thought was possible, cause if you don't go for it you have zero chance of doing something awesome!!!
19:45 when Trevor said "backhand roller" I died laughing. There's a fine line between aggressiveness and sheer insanity, my man! But sheer insanity tends to be very entertaining.
I tend to do both depending on how tight the woods are will depend on how aggressive I play I use to play way more aggressive but I learned to be conservative in certain occasions and how the weather is too I make that a factor as well
Your guys course commentary about your decisions and stuff in this video is what makes it. So freaking good and funny. Do the same thing at independence park longs!
Hey Trevor, Hunter, Konner [I think that's how you spell it] and Silas. Been loving your videos for about six months now. I really want to get out there and try some Disc Golf. Quick request, during the edit could you drop an arrow where the basket is on each hole when the basket isn't visible? Or show the map of each hole so we know where you guys are throwing? It'd help me out to have a general idea. If it's too much extra work, absolutely no worries. Love y'alls stuff. Keep up the good work, Jed
If anyone was on the fence and wanted a review from a non-sponsored person, the Goodr sunglasses are indeed very lightweight and great for disc golf! I actually got a pair before Foundation even started advertising for them, and they are excellent!
Video Idea: “Disc Golf Sprint” First one to finish 9 holes,-9 under wins. Must birdie to move on to the next hole. If you miss your birdie putt, you start the hole over. You can choose to start the hole over at any time. Pick a course with atleast three par 4’s to make it interesting. Gonna need Connor and Silas on the cameras.
You guys should try and make a trip out to Iowa and play Wildcat Bluff. Highest rated and probably hardest course in Iowa and one of the highest rated in the country.
Come to Bend, OR and play the Mt. Bachelor course. What the elevation does to your discs and distance is insane! Feels like you’re playing on a different planet. So fun!
Hunter "conservatively going for it" by dicing up from a mid to a fairway over ob has to be the best example of Hunter maybe not knowing what playing conservative means.
A few options to explore this further. 1)Each person throws twice on every shot. One agressive and one conservative. 2)Turn the roles around. Hunter agressive Trevor conservative. 3) Try the same thing on a more open course. Where trees are less of an issue!
As a fellow Virginian, I concur with Trevor on the importance of a chalk bag. The tacky factor humidity brings is much worse than morning dew because when it's hot the dampness doesn't just wipe away, it is ever present.
I have a large dislike of moisture, but an even larger dislike of hot weather. 50-60F Morning rounds on a ghost course before the dew evaporates is akin to fishing in open water or hiking a mountain. It's akin to meditation and cathartic.
This is a cool idea! Next time should leave it to the spin wheel to decide 😏 Trevor next time just rub your hand in the dirt... live in OkC ... it’s always humid here. That’s what helps me out on those HOT and humid days 🔥
I consider myself an extremely aggressive golfer. One reason could be because of environment, most courses near where I live are exclusively par 3. So once I started to learn how to throw, I began attempting the line to get the birdie. If there were more par 4 and par 5 holes near me I could see myself picking the holes apart more and having more of a tactical approach. In the mean time, birdie or bust.
I played conservative yesterday scored +3, best round ive ever had.. Only playing for about a year so far. My average is probably +12 with smatterings of +23 games lol. I plan to keep playing conservative.
My hobbies have shifted and you guys don’t end up in my feed much and I miss that. Subs just don’t cut it. 😢 I’m :50 seconds in but if I don’t hear big hunt I’ll be pissed.
So you are saying play the golf that over a 10 or 20 round average will score you the best ... Initially thats probably playing conservatively and play for par ... Type approach but as you get better if you have a 90% chance to park a hole off the tee vs a 95% chance to park it in 2, then odds are you should try to park it off the tee and play conservative only if you think you threw a bad enough drive. So in other words know your limits and play smart. I mean a useful lesson for beginners yes but once you know that, I'm not sure that's the most useful/profound advice. That being said great video idea real fun to watch. That being said after this, same day you should have filmed the players swapped. Partly for science sake yes, but also cause you know people are going to say shocking the better player (hunter) won. But also so you had an excuse for you guys to do a monthly match here. To have it as a sort of tie breaker assuming conservative play won both times. Like boom more integrated content.
I throw aggressive when all the CONDITIONS are good for it, footing, grip, runup angle etc. If something is off, short teepad, sticky hands, weird ground angle, crazy wind I go more conservative.
A better option would be to both play a aggressive round and then both play conservative. I feel like there was no information gained because you just missed shots at times. It's not a test of agressive vs conservative, it was who can not blow the shot. Too many bad shots to know the difference.
I think both. Is the risk justified by the possible reward? If yes, go for it. But if it could cost a bunch of strokes, probably not except in some competitive situations.
Even using the word "a little flex" playing conservative seems aggressive ;) Some shots swinging in on the forehand would less aggressive with a softer stable puttershot ;) Also not missing short, missing low ;P
I love the idea, but I don’t feel like we learned anything. Trevor just had a bad day and didn’t execute properly on most of the holes. Would be great to see this video again but from someone like Brodie with a more elite level of consistency on aggressive shots. Maybe he can play both sides at the same time.
Great vid as always! Had a non related dsic golf question. That hat Hunter, worth it? Been seeing that on Amazon and want to buy one but nervous one sweaty disc golf round and it's ruined. Pretty pricey. Your thoughts?
I feel like this would have been better if both played a conservative and agressive round, but individually so the plays could be compared and uninfluenced.
I think it’s tough to do this challenge with a championship course, because in my head obviously a conservative mindset will set you up better. I think it would be more competitive and interesting on an above average b-tier like course!! Just my opinion, not hating!!
I saw a starter set at Ollie's for $10 today. Ultimate set made by Anker Play. I don't recall you doing that one. Plastic felt pretty good. Looking online the price is $30 so that's a great deal for people around my area
For beginners it doesn’t matter much if you play aggressive or conservative generally you’re going to take the same score because as a beginner you don’t know how to execute a conservative shot.
When your conservative distance is the same as your aggressive distance, what's the point. And just saying I'm pumping it or ripping it is not playing aggressive. That's just throwing aggressively. And the course you chose doesn't really lend to this challenge very well
Lol. I think I play aggressively more often than I should. I think, “Ah, I’ve birdied this hole before, so I should and can do it again!” Sometimes it ends up goodr, sometimes not…👀🤷🏼♂️😂
Head over to goodr.com/FOUNDATION for free shipping on your order with code 'Foundation'!
I'd like to see you guys flip sides. I wanna see hunter be super aggressive. Trevor didn't play like I thought he would lol
Just ordered from them on Monday!
Hey cant support them they do not align with my faith. But yall seem to.
Trevor trying to be aggressive, but accidentally laying up the majority of the time is hilarious lmao
Now we need to see the switch... same holes same bags same conditions but Trev plays safe and Hunter OUT OF HIS MIND>
This!!
100% was thinking the same thing lol
Yeah this made more sense to me.w do it
I love when you all don’t have a towel, chalkbag, etc.
If only there was a store locally that had those types of things 😂
😂😂
6:20 is the greatest unintentional goose mating call the world has ever heard.
"Here's the problem guys, it's getting more and more humid by the second, I don't have a chalk bag and its starting to become a factor." Lol love it
These are the most wild bags ever. You guys pulled stuff that I haven’t seen you throw in ages
This is their bag when they aren't trying to push disc to sell lol
The timer on how long it took Trevor's disc to hit a tree had me rolling.
Practice round sure, tournament time it usually costs you being too aggressive.
19:45 when Trevor said "backhand roller" I died laughing. There's a fine line between aggressiveness and sheer insanity, my man! But sheer insanity tends to be very entertaining.
trevor: "oh Im GOATed"
2 seconds later
"im in trouble"
3:55 anyone else predicting a sunglasses ad at some point?😂
No shadows to be seen. Nothing but clouds in the sky. Yep, sunglasses ad.
Yeah there would be goodr conditions to wear shades in than a cloudy round in the woods.
I tend to do both depending on how tight the woods are will depend on how aggressive I play I use to play way more aggressive but I learned to be conservative in certain occasions and how the weather is too I make that a factor as well
6:23 Hunter does the best goose mating call I ever heard.
Your guys course commentary about your decisions and stuff in this video is what makes it. So freaking good and funny. Do the same thing at independence park longs!
Aggressive Trevor needs to bag a tilt 😂🎉
im six minutes in and loving how hard they're leaning into their roles.
Hey Trevor, Hunter, Konner [I think that's how you spell it] and Silas. Been loving your videos for about six months now. I really want to get out there and try some Disc Golf. @@johnshepherd6925 I gotta make it happen!

I'm so happy the dyed maverick has gone back in Trevor's bag. Soooo good
What a thriller down the stretch!
Now do this on a super easy course
You guys should try and make a trip out to Iowa and play Wildcat Bluff. Highest rated and probably hardest course in Iowa and one of the highest rated in the country.
I love how well Trevor took on the aggressive player mentality
Come to Bend, OR and play the Mt. Bachelor course. What the elevation does to your discs and distance is insane! Feels like you’re playing on a different planet. So fun!
I have two pairs of Goodr shades. My favorite is the "Dawn of a new sage".
Its a course by course basis on how aggressive you have to play. A course like that with tons of ob conservative is the play
Hunter "conservatively going for it" by dicing up from a mid to a fairway over ob has to be the best example of Hunter maybe not knowing what playing conservative means.
Gert the sponsorblock addon to autoskip the sponsored segments. I submitted the times
Throwing hex or another straight mid for bogey on new london is probably the most stress free experience
Please do Even vs Odd disc speeds!!!!
I’ve watched you guys play this course multiple times and feel any of you could have a better score just using all mids with a putter for putts 👏👏👏
I can’t wait to see the battle you guys had at Boulder Creek! When is it coming out? 🙂
A few options to explore this further.
1)Each person throws twice on every shot. One agressive and one conservative.
2)Turn the roles around. Hunter agressive Trevor conservative.

Yooo. I feel like I havent seen Trevor throw that Maverick in quite a while.
I consider myself an extremely aggressive golfer. One reason could be because of environment, most courses near where I live are exclusively par 3. If there were more par 4 and par 5 holes near me I could see myself picking the holes apart more and having more of a tactical approach. In the mean time, birdie or bust.

“ The thing about gooder that makes them great”
Trevor saying "goated" reminds me of my 7 year old when he gets a win on fortnite😂😂
Either way still requires a fine balance. To go full flavor all the time in action even theoretically is a fun concept.
Trevor needs to use more legs and his putting will be sorted. Especially on straddle putts, if i miss low I think about my leg pump a bit more
So you are saying play the golf that over a 10 or 20 round average will score you the best ... Initially thats probably playing conservatively and play for par ... Big fan of the conservative play. If i have a sketchy putt outside 20 for birdie i just lay up. Boring but less stressful
"Conservative" Hunter throwing destroyer off the tee and fading off the fairway. Prolly something slower and straighter was more conservative.
It’s amazing how often y’all don’t have your real bag or are throwing a new disc for the first time
Do one with 13 speeds vs putters
It would have to be on a medium length course
A better option would be to both play a aggressive round and then both play conservative. I feel like there was no information gained because you just missed shots at times. It's not a test of agressive vs conservative, it was who can not blow the shot. Too many bad shots to know the difference.

Par plays and is good. Pick your holes to get play aggressive to get the birds.
Had either of you ever finished hole 5 in three shots? Or was that first time?
Aggressive. Yall should reverse roles and see how you do and have be a combine score.
I love the idea, but I don’t feel like we learned anything. Trevor just had a bad day and didn’t execute properly on most of the holes. Would be great to see this video again but from someone like Brodie with a more elite level of consistency on aggressive shots. Maybe he can play both sides at the same time.
My local course is pretty forehand friendly, and I don't have a good forehand. A conservative play is still aggressive to me.
Great vid as always! Had a non related dsic golf question. That hat Hunter, worth it? Been seeing that on Amazon and want to buy one but nervous one sweaty disc golf round and it's ruined. Pretty pricey. Your thoughts?
Fantastic hat! I’ve run in it a bunch and you just run it under the sink and sweat marks disappear
@@FoundationDG Thank you for the info. I'm sold
what was the brand of sunglasses you were wearing?
Goodr! Link is in the description with a discount code for free shipping!
i really recomend taylorville il disc golf course
Someone know what camera they use for these videos?
All of our gear is linked in the description!
I feel like this would have been better if both played a conservative and agressive round, but individually so the plays could be compared and uninfluenced.
Better quality audio pleaseeee
Play for par and the birdies will come.
So aggressive is a roller only round? I’m confused.
For me conservative vs aggressive is basically fairway vs driver.
I think it’s tough to do this challenge with a championship course, because in my head obviously a conservative mindset will set you up better. I think it would be more competitive and interesting on an above average b-tier like course!! Just my opinion, not hating!!
I like to generally play conservative and pick one or two holes to attack
How many times did he say goated?
Probably needed someone better at disc golf to be the aggressive player...😂😂😂😂
These glasses are way to small for you Trevor 😉😁
I saw a starter set at Ollie's for $10 today. Ultimate set made by Anker Play. I don't recall you doing that one. Plastic felt pretty good. Looking online the price is $30 so that's a great deal for people around my area
Is Trevor still team DD or does he just still rock the shirt?
For beginners it doesn’t matter much if you play aggressive or conservative generally you’re going to take the same score because as a beginner you don’t know how to execute a conservative shot.
When your conservative distance is the same as your aggressive distance, what's the point. And just saying I'm pumping it or ripping it is not playing aggressive. That's just throwing aggressively. And the course you chose doesn't really lend to this challenge very well
I play for highlights
We need a trevor "goated" counter
I think the only thing to do now is repeat this video with the guys doing the opposite strategy. That way there is a clear comparison.
Leggo! Conservative will win lol
Yep
I want this video again but reversed
Ace or go home!
Where did you get the multi colored honey?
Simon vs Sexton
I am a conservative player but I know when to be aggressive.
So aggressive equals insane? 😂
Both of you unfortunately had to many errant throws / shanks to say which play style was "better" for the course.
Next round how about liberal vs conservative
What kind of a hat is Hunter wearing?
Trevor stop throwing the disc so high in the air it’s game of angles and you are messin up
Literally the worst course to be aggressive on 😅
This needs run back with the opposite strategies... for science
Lol. I think I play aggressively more often than I should. I think, “Ah, I’ve birdied this hole before, so I should and can do it again!”
Sometimes it ends up goodr, sometimes not…👀🤷🏼♂️😂
We need a double aggro round please
