Thank you Mr Simon for your submission. Personally, I think NUP is going through a process of purification. This is a young party that many joined with different mindsets and ideologies. It was a "wave" that many joined especially in the central region to get mileage for individual interests. In my humble opinion is easier to impart ideology in the likes of Nubian Lee's and Eddie Mutuwe's than the Bwabika's who have a particular fixed mindset. I was surprised to see letter written by Bwanika to the NUP leadership asking for the commissioner job at parliament sometime back. It appears some of these friends are comfortable being in opposition (it makes them share on the national cake in disguise of fighting for the common). That is why while retaining my respect for Mr Mpuuga, he erred to participate in a meeting and award himself 500 miilion and not find it worth to share this development with his colleagues at NUP. I equate this to Judas' act of betrayal. I sometimes think the bigger problem in Uganda is lack of patriotism. Many times its not about Uganda, but about personal interests
