About their age. I know that their fantastic singer, Keiko Terada, is born july 1963, so she`s just turned 57 this year and still rockin` like a young girl. Amazing.
This band deserves so much thanks...they have rocked hard and often since 1989 and are still going at it!!!! Without this group there is no Lovebites, Band Maid, Aldious, and all the other fantastic all female bands from Japan today!!! These women have been this good for decades and had to climb to get to the glass ceiling and then shatter it for all the other female bands to follow. I still say after Lovebites, Show-Ya, Band Maid etc.. I want to see the boys play this hard and this long in heels!!!!!!!! Great reaction and so glad that these women are have a resurgence in popularity and success as it is well deserved and well earned on their part!!!!!
Since '81 actually ('83 for the present line-up) and first record in '85. You're so right about their seminal role for the all-female japanese bands - this include their Naon@Yaon festival, allowing all those musicians to meet and play together.
Found them two years ago and barely listen to anything else anymore. Thank you for recognizing their unique abilities on the instruments and their feeling to play the right thing at each and every moment. To me they're the most charismatic and entertaining band ever after a search of more than fourty years of rock addiction since my school days. It's really worth to spend time and try to find out more and everything about them. Go for it - Rock 'n' Roll is better than music! ;-)
Love that you are reacting to them. They deserve so much more fame and glory! Why is she (the guitarist) so good? Miki Igarashi is a legend in Japan, and a mentor to the whole current generation of Japanese rip-your-face-off female guitarists. They sponsor an annual festival just for female rock musicians since the late 1980's. They were formed in 1981, before Metallica; Igarashi joined in 1982, and they've been touring and recording ever since with only one lineup change and one hiatus. Keiko Terada is actually the youngest of the five. They are all around 60 now. This video may have been posted in 2019 but I think the footage is from an earlier concert, just based on their outfits.
I'm not a metal person but I love their sound. The vocal, the melodic guitar solos and just the right amount of catchness to their songs. Musicianship and showmanship are both exceptional. They are my 2nd favorite to band-maid. Thanks for the reaction.
Show -ya love 40year 😝♥️♥️♥️
最高の日本のメタルバンドです‼️

right, and I think she's one year younger than the others. They're all fantastic!
Exacto nació el 27 de Julio de 1963
Everyone is almost 60 years old
Thanks for liking SHOW YA!
As a Japanese who has been a metal & hard rock lover for over 40 years I feel sooooo happy I could cry!!!
This is one of my favorite show-ya songs along side "be quiet" (hard to find online), "trouble", "pray," "hurry home" and "blood rose".

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍KEIKO is the Queen to heavy metal
They are contemporary of Vixen and Phantom Blue, great bands, but I think of the three Show-Ya played faster and tighter.
Please react SHOW-YA FAIRY (DVD『大復活祭』より)
