I always cheat when I do my TBR videos, you gotta do what you gotta do 😂 Bookshops and Bonedust was a fun one, great for fall!! And your dog is so cute, loved seeing him pick the book, haha! For September I’m hoping to read The God of the Woods, Bright Young Women, Clytemnestra, A Sorceress Comes to Call, and The Graveyard Book 😊
Good to hear I'm not the only one 😂 A Sorceress Comes to Call sounds so good! And Clytemnestra has been on my tbr shelf for a long time, so I should probably get to that this year 😅 Especially because I have a feeling that's going to be one of those books that I'm going to really like and then I'll be annoyed that I didn't read it sooner lol
It wouldn’t be a true TBR video without cheating 😂 all of us do it, I’m such a mood reader that a TBR is so hard for me to follow but I love taking part in the process. Great choices for you this upcoming month! I just read Rhapsodic and LOVED it and curious tides is also on my list of books I own but haven’t read 😅 we need a book club!
I'm happy to hear I'm not the only fudging the results a little LOL And same! I love putting the tbr together, but I usually only end up reading a couple of them 😅 I don't think I've really heard much about Rhapsodic, so I'm happy to hear you loved it!! And we definitely need a book club! I've been brainstorming about it more and more lately 🤔💭📖✨
Aww thank you!! ☺️💕 I haven't heard anyone talk about that book, so I'm so happy to hear you loved it!! The tone from the synopsis sounds fun, so 🤞🏻😬🤞🏻 lol
Your dog is so cute ❤ I am also in fall spirit 🍁🍂 My favorite time of year I wanne read lots of scary books but the book i wanne read most is the whispering dead its about a girl who can see ghost and help them move on
cheater! 😆 Tbf I would do the same. I think Im gonna read Veiled Kingdom too! Some books Im excited for are Phantasma, Blood Orange, and Doctor D’Arco, Sorcerer of London🔥
LOL sometimes you have to push the jar in the right direction 😋 The expectations for Veiled Kingdoms are pretty high after reading The Kingdom of Stars and Shadows, so hopefully it's a good one!! 🤞🏻 Instantly sold on Phantasma just from the cover lol *reads synopsis* "..a deadly contest inside a haunted mansion.." *adds to list* 😂 Ahh I totally forgot about Blood Orange! I've had that one on my wishlist for awhile. That would be a good one for the fall! And a victorian gothic romance! I think a want to switch tbrs with you 😋
I just finished it today!! 🏰 ...honestly not a whole lot of plot (I think we'll get a lot more action in the next one) and the spice/ romance so far is not my favorite, BUT very bingeable and I need the next book ASAP! 📖🏃🏻♀️💨 lol
@@jenseereads we love bingable reads 😍 once I release myself from the trap that is the zodiac academy (it’s torture, but I’m still enjoying it even though I just finished heartless sky 😅) I think this is the perfect book to dive into 💗
@@jenseereads it’s a pretty long series/time commitment and I’ve been toggling between it being my main read and by back burner read since July…I’m nearing the end and wondering is it all going to be worth it?? But now I need to finish… 😅 I did really enjoy the prequel series, the ruthless boys of the zodiac! do you have a favorite romantasy series? Or a favorite you’ve read this year that is living rent free in your head?
The characters in Legends and Lattes were my favorite part of that book. Specifically the little baker 🥰 I'm excited to see what types of characters we get in Bookshops & Bonedust!
Jensee explaining the colours in the jar for the nth time and I am still forgetting it. Is it really bad that I started my murder and horror books back in August itself? Idk why but I love the fall vibe and I read every single thriller book in my tbr during fall.
LOL I keep thinking I should stop explaining them, but then it feels weird not too 😂 I ended up reading 3 thrillers in August, so I don't think there's anything wrong with jump starting the horror books 😋 I save most of my thrillers and horrors for fall too, so I totally understand the itch to get started! ☺️🍂👻
this looks like a pretty good list of books. I've already read one of my most anticipated - Wild Eyes, and it was a 5 star. and now I'm waiting for Somewhere Beyond the Sea and Pucking Sweet.
You are on top of it! I preordered Wild Eyes and I haven't even gotten it yet lol ...but also I still need to read Wild Love 😅 I'm also really excited for Somewhere Beyond the Sea! The first book was so cute. And I didn't know there was another Pucking book coming out. I liked Pucking Around, but I wasn't sure I was going to continue the series. But I have thought about that book so much since I finished it lol So I think at this point I have to continue 😋
@@jenseereads The Pucking Novellas are delightful, but I do want a lot of them to be full stories. Pucking Wild was an okay story based on two other characters but the Prices were in it, and mentioned therefore it was an amazing story - and this next one is going to be an MFM story - which should be entertaining but mostly I'm in it for the Prices.
@@Micmezle The synopsis for Pucking Wild was what made me think I didn't want to continue. I love a why choose, so it not being one was kind of a let down. What I am excited to read for September is the ballad of never after and the curse for true love by Stephanie Garber, Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross, Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, and Wisteria by Adalyn Grace. This is a month of mostly sequels for me!
ooh lots of good books!! Omg I think I’m 8 books behind my good reads goal rn 😭 I might do another 24 hour readathon to try and catch up LOL 😅 the midnight feast sounds really fun I’ll have to add that to my tbr 📚 also your dog is so cute which I think I comment every time he’s in a video hahaha
It's funny you say that, because I'm literally in the middle of filming a 24hrs of reading now to try to catch up 😂 ...unfortunately, I'm reading like a damn snail, so I've only read a book and a half and my time is running out fast! lol 😬 Ooo I'm curious what your thought will be on the Midnight Feast! There is romantic tension (which I loved every second of), but it's mostly about everything else that's going on (there's so many adventures and things that happen throughout the trilogy). So, although I didn't get the romance I was expecting, it was still a really fun series and I ended up actually liking it even more, because it wasn't what I was expecting. ☺️
