Salaam, I think if a brother check on his wife’s activity from time to time is healthy just like he can check on her deen and prayer he should be able to check on who she befriends or even what type of things she is into not to be a creep but with good intentions, last point , I’m aware that the shariah hasn’t come to change our culture but it fine tunes it in many ways a lot of norms we have as so called blk Americans are a bit different than a lot other Muslim cultures

Walaikumsalam I think it’s important a woman still be able to have her privacy as an adult even in marriage. Checking phones is excessive if a man is with a woman who needs to check her phone to then he should not be with that woman cuz he does not trust her

The Prophet Muhammad Pbuh has stated,You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)? And what did the Jews and Christians Do? They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allāh,1 and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary.2 And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him. Since the Jews and Christians committed shirk and left the Deen it would only make since that Muslims would do the same, but how? Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allah bless and protect him) said:
“Taking steps to protect oneself is an objective, especially in gatherings during the two ‘Eeds, the five [daily] prayers, and Jumu’ah. They must keep a distance from each other these days, fearing the spread of the contagion. There is to be a gap between each two people. Aside from this circumstance, it is legislated that people praying are to come close together and not leave gaps for the Shaytaan, as the Messenger (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) ordered that the rows must come close together, and they must not differ (forming uneven rows or rows with gaps). He said (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace), “Do not differ [in the row], lest your hearts differ!” So the Muslims must pay attention to this matter. This separation is only temporary, after which they will return back to what Allah, the Exalted and Most High, has legislated about the rows (i.e. the base rule of coming together closely). Following this order where the Sheik commanded Muslims leave what Allah legislated & "temporarily"follow his guidance by disobeying Allah and placing 6ft gaps in Allah's prayer line to protect them from a virus with an over 90% survival rate where must who succumb to it are elderly or suffering from other serious illnesses. The Quran states.they will say, "Our Lord, surely we obeyed our masters and our great ones, so they made us err away from the way. 33:67 similar to those who are now supposedly following the Salaf... The book of Daniel, book 9 states,And at the temple[j] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed(BV) is poured out on him... An abomination at the temple= 6ft gaps in the prayer line in the House of Allah.. And the Prophet when speaking of the Malhama states 99 out of 100 will die, spiritual desolation... As the Malhama doesn't refer to the great war(Armageddon)... May Allah guide us to the Truth! And protect us from all sorts of misguidance and disobedience to your commands (such as 6ft gaps in the prayer lines)...
