Why change anything on Anna?
Dream Team is back. Like peanut butter and jelly sammitch. Like beans and rice. Like Simon & Garfunkel. Anna & Nik on a tennis court. Great to see you two again.
Yes, I love Anna’s enthusiasm and Nic’s instruction.
Anna is getting better we love it but 9:06 kinda sus
lmao. very sus.
"I have a lot of style" 🏆 I appreciate the small jokes and humor in this video. Refreshing.
I never thought Nick could get spanked by any youtube tennis player...and then comes Anna and does it literally. I was falling off my chair when I saw this. Loved it. Cheers to Anna!
Missed the Nick and Anna videos!
Another great video Nick!
MM
Let's just pray that no redpill men come on here complaining about double standards. If any MGTOW or redpill guys see this- they will have Anna prosecuted and imprisoned for 10yrs+.
The subtle distinction of where to catch the racquet is golden. Thanks
Thanks Nick again, I tried to switch from E to SW yesterday, and the forehand was a lot easier, more powerful and precise, and the best thing is my arm doesn't feel tired anymore.
I saw Anna makes a great progress comparing last year. Her swing is much more fluent than before and stronger, but still need to accelerate the racquet more once the racquet is dropped to hit the ball. Good luck, sweet Anna!
Great video Nick!❤️
1:23 I switched myself to a Semi-Western grip after using Eastern for 4 months or so. Felt weird at the beginning, now I automatically grip the racquet Semi-Western without thinking about it.
I find that tennis is a lot like riding a bike. Some movements seem impossible at first, yet become completely natural over time.
Thanks coach for simplifying the forehand and giving me a way to show it to my middle school kids
wow, last slo mo forehand really starting to look like a proper WTA forehand!
Closing the trash can door footage was hilarious and entertaining. LOL! Great info in all your videos. Super helpful!
Great explanation and analysis
We missed Anna and the lessons. Very helpful overall. Nick, thank you very much for these videos.
Love seeing both of you again! Anna’s such a great student.
Hi, always enjoyable to watch Anna learn and progress, but please don't try to be perfect; be yourself and try your best to achieve the goals that Nick set for you. As your Coach, Nick said, stay in tense to put the ball in the right place. Keep up progressing Anna.
You are a great coach Nick. I love watching these because I dream of teaching a student like Anna. She is really dedicated and making great progress each time, great job. Only thing I would do a little different is not teach a concept like this quite so early, would wait until she is hitting hard and accurate returns first, it's just easier then. Also a backboard for extra practice and to get to that point quicker. Looks like so much fun, love it. 🙂
I just taught myself (with the help of UA-cam!) and switched to a semi-western forehand yesterday, and immediately I found that I was hitting much harder with a larger percentage of balls not landing long. Many balls were wedging themselves into the far fence. I also found I was able to aim better, whether cross-court or down the line. Definitely everyone is different, but I’m glad I didn’t wait much longer to incorporate this grip!
Anna🤗 we love you ❤️ ,thank you Nick 👍🏻❤️🎾
I saw one of the first videos of this woman, here in this video I am surprised how she has improved, amazing. No doubt, excelents lessons.
💯
Anna is so fun. Thanks.
Nice simple with the necessary details as always ❤
If you may make full western as i think gives the most deadly forehand like fritz and see the Last match of the young Shang Juncheng vs Mc Donald
Steady improvement by Anna. A good solid forehand stroke is emerging. I'm starting to be a believer.
Needed this sooner. Anything to help with tennis elbow. Thanks🎾🎾🎾🙏🙏🙏
wow, Anna has progressed a lot.
I actually think her FHs at 2:12 are the best she hits (and miles better than she was 6 months ago). She opens her hips, accelerates and finishes weight forward. And she's accelerating her racket through the finish. She has so much tension in her swing in so much of the rest of the video, like she's trying to steer the ball.
I love love love Anna videos.
🔜
Coach knows what brings the views !
i love anna. shes such a cool person and dedicated student
Anna gets good inspiration from Nick. She is moving well but little hunched & needs to relax more on her hand & take back. She is very keen & is improving fast.
We love Anna, no matter the crip!!!!!😄😄😄👍✌️🎾🎾❤️🇬🇷
she is a princess. Getting better every day. Hugs from Brazil
Hahahaha you got an intuitive spanking from Anna
I am planning the opposite. I am in big trouble with my western grip forehand. I just can't find a way to get it more constant. Is so hard to hit the ball on time and in the lower part of the ball because if you don't do this perfectly then the ball just goes straight to the net. What can I do?
I think that this grip change is really going to help Anna and she will swing more freely.
I also prefer Pellegrino, Ana knows what she's talking about
Nick can you please offer a week long group clinic? I would love to have some coaching from you!
9:05 WOW! Get a room guys
I hit with eastern, once I tried semi and I liked the balls, but was wired and I had the feeling that my wrist was not at the right position!
I continue with eastern like Roger the great and pistol Pit!!!💪💪✌️
had to switch from eastern to semi western because eastern put too much stress on my wrist. my flat shots aren't as powerful but it's been very consistent with topspin
@@tsm2112 I hit flat shots with Eastern, and top spin with full Western...
@@michelmillette9218 and how you manage to do that, you change the crip in every shot? Seem very difficult to me when I play hard and fast!!
9:06 Какое интересное упражнение!! Надо взять на заметку!🤣🌺🤣
I can’t hit SW. I grew up playing tennis since at the age of 4. Been playing E my whole life feels natural to me like the ball is hitting off of my hand. The problem with that is the touch is awesome and power/drive is there, but adding topspin is a little harder compared to SW. Swing is so much smoother and relaxed too.
You guys are two well oiled MACHINES! Well done Nic & Anna! #TeamNicAnna
I find it very difficult to get my wrist under like Nik says for the semi western. I’m trying but I dump a lot into the net.
9:07 cmon my guy !!!! If you haven’t gotten in there yet Watcha waiting for 😭😭 Ana is definitely getting better x) !!!
he's married lol

Great instruction as always! What shoes are you wearing coach?

man i almost want to go on vacation early to southeast florida so i can get a lesson with you
good job Anna
The loopy back swing feels cumbersome. What about a Jack Sock style back swing where the wrist is more neutral instead of extended so that the back swing can be less loopy?
Which racket are they using?
Nice job Anna!!!
9:07 top tennis training 🫶🏼
I have switched from E to SW recently. It felt weird for a couple of weeks then I wondered why I'd waited so long. SW has instantly improved my FH with the extra baked-in spin. No downside either, on low(ish) balls I just use a reverse finish.
The extra bonus for me is being able to use the same grip on both the FH and OHBH. Especially handy on returns of serve.
I can't switched. It's impossible, I only feel confortable with the Eastern grip, it's the only one I feel natural.
Yeah, unless you are really good with it and have the best technique in the world, you're just always at a disadvantage playing Eastern, best decision I ever made in tennis
@@jayzerbeam9733 I feel this way too. Even more so in my case since I play exclusively on clay (= higher-bouncing balls).
Anna is the best, makes me smile too. 😂 Fresh Anna = 9:04 😮 Funky Anna = 9:31 🤔 Anna Lost the Funk = 12:44 🤩
Anna is still on a pure eastern grip, it can be seen in the end when you put it on slow motion. It takes time to adopt changes...
Looking for a new match for Anna such as the previous one with her friend in order to judge her improvement 👏👏👏
9:03 LOL. Anna is funny.
what do Anna and Nic do after the lesson?
I’m telling - this could lead to a different ball game easily after the practice session
I think the videographer is Nic’s wife. 😬😬😬😬
😅 Another great lesson!
Alternate title: Anna spanking me and telling her she's getting a little funky again 😂 ---- I was doubting my semi western grip, this definitely made me happy to stick with it,, never really thought about elbow health! Thank you for this video!
Come on Anna! With love from Russia!❤️ We want to see how you win the match! 🏆
Thank you a lot Nick!✌️
Please, Nick, or anyone, is it usual or wise for players to use different grips for different kind of forehands? Obviously everyone do that when they want to play forehand slice, dropshot or volley, which is not really possible to do right with any other grip than continental.
What I mean is different grips for topspin. I generally play with eastern grip which comes very natural to me and I still give the ball aquite a lot of spin and I don’t really want more most of the times. I would actually like to play flatter shots instead of topspin in some occasions, especially when approaching the net. However I struggle with the high and deep balls that I have to play behind the baseline, especially on clay, and that’s one situation where I think semi/western would be better, as it is more possible to hit around shoulder height when needed. I tried it a couple of times and it really was better, I had no problem to get good height and depth on my shots. But I still prefer eastern grip for most of my shots and court positions and it’s a bit of a mindfuck to always think about changing grips. Maybe it’s just a matter of practice, but maybe you don’t recommend that at all. What’s your opinion? I have no idea if the pros and generally more experienced players are always using the exact same grip or they make some adjustments as they play.
Using two or more grips on forehand is problematic
@@IntuitiveTennis Thanks, I believe in your tennis experience but it's still tempting :) It's quite obvious each grip has its pros and cons. But I guess pros would be already switching the grips if it wasn't problematic.
Nice Anna is back on court :)
Is this really a 3.0 though? I think lower
Weating for the second Anna’s match

is it hot or is it cold??
Are there any WTA pros who use an Eastern forehand? Or do all women use either a semi-Western or full Western?
Ons eastern fh grip
@@IntuitiveTennis Is there a reason so few do? Lack of strength?
The start of the vid lmfao 🥴💀
Why change anything on Anna?
international grip LOL
I love these lessons :3
Maybe TopSpinPro would help her with the "skim" technique
Haha! Ana's very funny 😁!
if you want a super bubbly water, try topo chico

Flexible racket, soft string, low tension and a full western grip is my recepe to stay away from tennis elbow.
I've started playing tennis 6 months ago and my coach taught me forehand on continental grip. Is it a good idea to switch for semi-western grip or will I struggle much? 😄
Bro, you should definitely switch. You’ll get more topspin and consistency. If you can’t get comfortable with it you could also go to a eastern forehand.
Do you mean Eastern? Don't think any coach should be teaching continental lol
@@lanezinke8114 will it be easy to adapt?
@@tegghhrry no, continental, I use it for a serve, volley, slices and forehand. I didn't had much information about it, so I trusted the coach
Switch to semi western immediately
Probably Anna need more right leg and waist power to help accelerate the swing.
Nikola, you said you "didn't want to overload," but I cannot understand why anyone would teach someone from ground zero grips that have a very low upside (eastern grip). Same thing goes for teaching someone a closed-stance forehand. There's a thing called "primacy" when it comes to learning, which states one tends to revert back to the original way they learned, and also the difficulty of relearning something. In the case of grips, from eastern to semi-wester, from incorrect to correct (from the perspective of having the highest potential for a powerful, accurate forehand).
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the Eastern forehand grip and the closed stance fh
@@IntuitiveTennis Except no good players use an eastern forehand grip these days and most players primarily don't hit forehands with an open stance. There's nothing wrong with either, except a good case can be made that they both have relatively low ceilings for potential.
"turn around, we should do this! 🍑👋🤣
They look like they are trading lessons. He's teaching her tennis and she is teaching him her spanking technique. LOL
The flirt from Anna is real
She know how to tap you! 😂
I think she could do with more preparation before hitting the ball
She is so cute and happy, I wanna

0:15 over.....
Man you're about to get in trouble by your wife LOL!
Mussel memory you got to hit thousands and thousands of forehands. So there you have the answer you got to practice the way you want to play. You got to put the time in if you want to win. Watching a UA-cam video is nice but you actually have to spend the time on court every day week after week. You can not hit once a week and expect results.
Why not thumbs up?
See Anna in short shorts click video👍🎾
She's great! I switched my grip...
I see when you are feeding the balls to Anna that her feet stay firmly planted in the ground. Maybe it could help her to practice , split, feed, hit.
Part of the lesson feels like a bit of babysitting and overcompensated encouragements. High maintenance
She's a bit mesmerising but once I regain composure I really gain a lot from these videos - thanks. I need to change my grip, I need to additional topspin as Im hitting way too flat and sending too many balls long
@@h33my Indeed. I imagine one day this comment will affect my social credit score and I'll have my food tokens revoked.
