This was awesome! Part of the surprise is to celebrate the homecoming of a hero. All our soldiers are heros and deserve this type of a homecoming. I respect the store that did this for the soldier and his mom. Good job!

We are so proud of you Nate and the time you served selflessly over there God Bless sweetheart. And God Bless the many men and women that are waiting for the day that they too can have their reunion with their families. @MrDerby2u Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks so much for what you do! My husband was disabled in Afghanistan after two previous tours in Iraq. It was very hard on both of us, and our families, but we'd both do it over again. Don't let the lazy dumbfucks get to you. They're nowhere near the caliber that you are, and they never will be. Sadly, you're fighting for his/her freedom and the welfare that they most likely fraudulently acquired. God bless you!

@amariluna My husband had to go to Iraq twice, and he said the people there...not the soldiers...but the regular old people....truly appreciated us. He said they thanked the soldiers all the time because they were living in fear. Their dictator paid the soldiers well enough to just do his bidding and the people had no power. The people there invited soldiers over for dinners almost every night and brought them food and gifts, and the children always hung out and played with the soldiers.

Look people, it doesnt matter what the reason it is for us to go over there. These videos are made not to take about the government, but to show support to those who are able to come home and see there families. We dont like being over there, but duty calls us too. If you dont like it, keep it to yourselves. Congratulations on coming home safely soldier.

@danlo1974 I really appreciate that both as an American, and as a wife of a soldier who was disabled overseas after driving over a buried road-side bomb. My husband became permanently disabled at only 24 years old and will never be who he once was. Most people don't thank the "little people" you know? They just hate all of us because they disagree with the wars, when they don't realize that most of us completely disagree with the wars ourselves.

And I am grateful for that. I thank your husband for his service and I thank all of the Mrs. and kids for "holding on".and the rest of their family.I can not even begin to know what you went tho day after day the worry you go tho.so thanks

@kiwitedferny Several men in my husband's unit (there were no women because he was an infantry unit), had bachelor's degrees, and a couple had master's degrees. They literally just wanted to serve their country. One guy, who is now one of our best friends is actually a doctor, but wanted to serve his country!! They tried to get him to be a doctor in the Army where he also would have obviously been an officer, but he told them no. He wanted to start from the bottom and be an enlisted soldier!

@dynastyballer13 My husband is super white but he came back from overseas very tanned. Think about it, they are in the desert in Iraq, and in Afghanistan they're in the mountains but they don't have trees like we do here. Afghanistan is a really high altitude and they're all out in the sun all day every day.

@goodlife404 Thank you very much. Yeah, after truths were uncovered most military members and their families changed their viewpoints on many things that we were doing, but of course, they still completed their mission. It's very sad that soldiers, like my husband, were permanently disabled, or killed, fighting for a cause that could have been in vain. Add insult to injury by those ignorant people like amariluna blaming the individual and entire country instead of corrupt government. officials.

@amariluna You would maybe be surprised to find that almost all Americans hate the war in Iraq and do NOT agree with it. As a military wife, I can tell you that AT LEAST 80% of the people that were at our base totally opposed the wars but we're still obligated to do as our commander-in-chief says. We all realized that we were lied to years ago about what really happened and so most people have changed their viewpoints. Please don't judge a whole nation.

@erdftzgh really? they gave me a lesson i deserve? actually all the Iraqis that i talked to were friendly towards us and even brought us food when we stayed at their police station. i actually have a few of my interpreters as friends on facebook. every time my platoon and i went there they were excited to see us because we would teach them first aid, how to properly exercise, and some even said that they wanted to come to America and work. you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

@eiomer really? not every soldier goes over there and kill any one. i went there and i never fired a single round. why? because the people there appreciated the fact that we were there helping them out when they needed some one to stand up for them. they were more than happy to bring us food (that was not poisoned or anything).

When am I gonna see a Congressman or Senators kid pulling a TOD? Are there any Bush or Chaney or Rumsfeld kids or Grandkids serving in combat zones?
