It's not in this video out of respect obviously, but RIP Ashley Cooper, who died after injuries sustained in a single-car accident at turn 8 in 2008's race. 11 July 1980 - 25 February 2008
Also because that fatal crash happened in the 2nd tier series. (Later that year we'd nearly have a fatal crash in the maingame when Pither smashed into Paul Weel, similar to the crash that killed Porter in the 2nd tier series two years previous)
Ohh no, love this racing series it's better than most racing series than here in the USA, good to see these cars are strong enough so the drivers can race again.
Since the track has just been resurfaced, and with the Adelaide Motorsport festival being started up again now would be the perfect time to get the track digitally scanned so it can be added into Simracing games. Australian tracks such as Bathurst and even The bend have had this done, allowing the tracks to be experienced by those outside of Adelaide/Australia. Peter Malinauskas said that he wants the AMF to rival that of the Goodwood festival, and through Simracing I found out about that track and thus the festival itself. It's time to put one of the best street circuits into Simracing to be enjoyed by all!!
I'm American.... but I like Australian Supercar racing more than NASCAR. It's far more exciting and closer to real street cars. At least they look more like street cars except for the tires, engines, roll cage, decals... LOL.
R.I.P Ashley Cooper (not in video out of respect) But no matter where the supercars compete the city or churches has seen its fair share of incidents too
Tracks too narrow for proper racing, overtaking and top speeds.Cramped pits and everything done to spoil racing, run off areas too small therefore too many stoppages for fans.
Nah... no aero, huge power, tonnes of torque, skinny tires, cheap paint... the safety cars bring it all together again and increases the insanity. These guys have skills... milimeters apart in heavy, high-speed 'family' cars...

@@hyper2high in the place I believe across the track.
@Rich Smith safe to say if the seat didn’t break loss we wouldn’t be looking at fatality
That’s really too young to die honestly
I like how the actual Australian supercars yt channel is making crash compilations

No sponsor under brad jones car, must have been one of his early roll overs.

"..has given it a severe wheel alignment" 😂
It's gotta be weird sitting in a race car and watching your own wheel overtake you 😂
Me encantan los supercarsV8. Saludos desde México
How did Courtney and Lowndes 2008 crash not make it into this video????

I swear Brad Jones spent more time on his roof in his career than he did on his wheels lol.
There was talk of a floor pan advertising opportunity...
