I've lived in Bloomington for five years now and still haven't made it down there. How was parking at the trail head? Google maps hasn't updated to show any trail head infrastructure.
There was ample parking on the day I visited, I'd guess 15 or 20 parking spaces in a paved lot. Come in on 9th Street from O Street. I blundered my way to the parking despite Google's outdated map but I'll do 9th Street in the future. It's a fun trail and I'd say well worth the drive from Bloomington. Thanks for the inquiry!
