jenn going “just stop being afraid and freaking put it in ..it’s fine” while dumping the tofu into the boiling soup is so relatable. i need that sometimes.
Other good veggies for soup: bok Choi, seaweed, spinach, carrot, mushrooms, wood ear fungus, snow peas. Really, anything you have left over. Cabbage and Brussels sprouts work but aren’t my favorite.
@@odoggow8157 Dude what is up your arse? You've been commenting on everyones posts saying how shit the cooking is. Stop being a sad loser and lighten up, you don't need to take every situation so seriously
i live in korea now and i am a broke grad student so i have really been trying to find some videos on cooking that had simple stuff i could make on a budget with little space because i am in a dorm. and these are so perfect. plus your personality is so so relatable

This is the cooking content I'm living for....stuff I can actually make without needing to do a hundred different steps and having advanced cooking skills
Well that's nice... But the soup would taste terrible. You need a bone seaweed or fish broth and probably a bay leaf and salt soy sauce or vinegar.... This soup would taste next level bland. Especially without any fat in it (sesame oil is super overpowering which means you can't use enough of it to make the dish taste good). It would be the equivalent of eating a salad with no dressing.
“You can use that coconut aminos. I think it’s supposed to be like a healthy alternative to soy sauce. But we’re not doing that here.” Yesss thank you. Lol. 😂❤️❤️❤️
I so appreciate Ben for just knowing that when we need our Jen, we just need her completely alone and to ourselves. Thank you, Ben for being awesome like that. 💓💓💓💓

Hey I'm living in Korea and they definitely add the onions without marinating them a lot too so no big deal! I've been too afraid to cook myself a lot of the time for fear of messing it up, but your recipes really gave me some confidence to do it myself. I love 된장찌개 too. One time my school gave us oranges and 된장찌개, and I gotta say, if you take a bite of an orange right before a spoonful of the soup it really changes the flavor to something magical. It's like the citrus pulls out all of the flavors so they have a party on your tastebuds!
