It was easy, in communist period in Czech republic, all movies belonged to state, so when communist need some dollars, they probably sell the movie to US. 😉

It was made out to be morr horrifiying then it was. This whole search started because someone found it terrifying when they were young and suffering from an illness. They probably just had a bad fever dream and made the cartoon out as more scary
