I love how Desi is having female guests that she adores and respects and knows personally, because her rapport, gratitude, and genuine love for them is palpable. You can tell this is her way of giving back and helping other women who helped HER
Ditto
Who else agrees this show fell off ever since Trevor leaving
But why do we need to watch it? I'm pretty sure I got cavities.
Yvette Nicole Brown is so amazing. From the first thing she said to the last, I feel like everything she said was so powerful. That energy of not wanting to let the ugliness of the world destroy you, but also not allowing yourself to be the problem.
We love
How shocking! Women uplifting women, striving. This is why their kids and ppl that raise kids like them are our future
Yvette is so crazy great! Can't wait for the Community movie.
OT comment but... I just love how much color there is between these two ladies. Chartreuse? Coral orange? No drab suits allowed on _this_ show!
Styled!
Right?!
Love Yvette's shirt.
Who else agrees this show fell off ever since Trevor leaving
@yedder why would that be a comment under this comment? I think you wanted that under the main comment thread.
@@wcarthuriibecause they sound bitter and unable to allow something nice to be said without throwing some mud and see where it sticks 🙄
Two smart, talented, beautiful strong women supporting each other. Makes my day 😭 🥰
"Frog and Toad Are Friends" and others of the series were my favorite books as a young child. 😃❤🧡💛💚💙💜 And, Desi's right; Yvette DOES light up a room.
Who else agrees that this show fell off every since Trevor left and I’m not even a lefty
@@yedder7628bye Felicia!
@@yedder7628 I agree that you’re kind of creepy…
@@LindaC616 what?
@@AlexYounger why am I creepy exactly?
Excellent energy in this interview. Yvette’s hair is fabulous
I loved the Frog and Toad books as a kid. So I’m glad it’s coming back and is being shown now in an animated style. Can’t wait to see it!
I bought my great niece a copy a few years back and reread it before gifting it to her. Realized that there are so many layers to those stories! From class and privilege, to relationships....a lot to work with😅
@@LindaC616 And hard work. Let’s not forget the one where Toad is lazy only to get depressed about how many chores he has to do tomorrow.
@@AttemptedVoices yes!
Now we just need a rerelease of “Mr.Toads Wild ride”!!!
This is what healthy allyship looks like and, frankly, just being decent human beings towards one another! 😍
Loving Desi as the host this week! Tonight's headlines were 😂😂😂
Great job Desi❤
Yvette Nicole Brown has impeccable comic timing and is absolutely fabulous!
Love seeing Yvette here!!! Thank you, Desi! You're doing awesomeeeee
I would love if the daily show just kept up rotating between the correspondents. I love them all and their different perspectives!
It's an embarrassment of riches! Every guest host has been outstanding. I do tend to lean towards Daily Show veterans, but I love the fresh take from different hosts, including OGs like Leguizamo, Sykes and Silverman.
First, *I LOVE me some YNB!!!!!!!!!* She is one of my heroes; she always has been. And I love that Yvette is not only super talented - #SixSeasonsAndAMovie- but she is intelligent and aware. I would definitely vote for her if she ran for political office. Also, if you are on Twitter but don't follow her, you should do so immediately! @YNB
Desi is crushing this week! So happy for her to get the chance to really show what she can do.
Joy... Desi lydic exuded such happiness in this interview I don't think of ever seen a more joyful interview not just on the daily show but pretty much ever
I was lucky to meet this awesome woman and Desi is right, this woman Lights up a room!" One of my favorites!❤
There’s my sunshine! YNB you look stunning!
It's weird seeing Desi interview someone and be sincere 😂
She is great😂
You're assumption that women are one dimensional is weird! Put your head back in the sand.
Absolutely loving Desi and her guests/interviews
YNB isn't necessarily somebody I'd hang out with all the time if I knew her. I don't necessarily agree with her exactly 100% about every single thing she's ever said. But gosh, if she was running for President, that would be the most enthusiastic vote I'd ever cast in my life. She absolutely has that Jimmy Carter style human decency where she wants nice things for everybody and she's willing to put in effort to make the world a better place. We need more people like her in this world.
Is it okay if she starts with local office first?😅
Why in the world would you want to hang out with someone who agrees with you 100% of the time? That sounds unbearable. 😬
I really like that they have the women hosting cause I love desi. I liked Wanda too. Sara and handler.
My mom read to me at bedtime from the time I was a baby until I was 4.
One night she handed me the book and said, "Take over. I'll be back in a little bit."
That's when I started reading to my little brother.
Teach your children well. Knowledge is power.
Before this week I liked Desi but found her pieces were often hit or miss... But seeing her host these two days it's clear how sweet she is. Really endearing - and funny!
Fantastic interview! Yvette's energy is infectious and the vibe during this entire interview was wonderful and uplifting.
She looks even younger than she did on community and that was so long ago! I’d love to know her skin care routine haha
BGM
I took lessons like this to heart as a kid, and loved everyone around me in life openly and unashamedly. Best advice I can give you at 50 yrs old.
Yes, has my vote.
Five years ago, I was lucky enough to see Yvette live when I was in the audience of The View. I've been in love with her ever since. She is the funniest, smartest, sweetest person in entertainment
Excuse me, but they were both great on the Odd Couple lol. Both so talented and smart and beautiful. I will watch anything they are on for the rest of all time.
Yvette Nicole Brown is just amazing....such an amazing personality....wow
So much food for thought. And smart. And goodness.
As a little black boy I loved the golden girls. I play eps for my kid sometimes. It’s still great.
Just listened to these stories on UA-cam. So fun.
I actually get happy just by listening to these two amazing women. Such a wonderful interview ❤️❤️❤️
I like the shout out to Jimmy Carter. I am still proud to have been a volunteer on both his campaigns.
A week of Desi is awsome 👍👍👍👍☆☆☆☆☆
i've said this before; TDS 5 nights a week, one day each of the correspondents and everyone will be happy.
Is Yvette Nicole getting younger over the years? This is spooky, she looks amazing and so confident
Desi Lydic is crushing it
i wish i had these ladies as friends in my girl circle.
Of all the guest hosts, she’s the best I’ve seen so far. Delivery is great, timing, not afraid to push a little but stays on topic because the material is incredibly serious. Closest to Jon Stewart and I’d love to see her get the assignment. Totally approve.
Enjoyed every second of these two ladies. And I hope she run for president.❤❤❤
My children loved the Arnold Lobel series of Frog and Toad books. Frog and Toads gender or sexuality was never an issue with our family.
This was an awesome interview! The Frog & Toad series has always a favorite of mine even to this day. Owl, is also a favorite. We must all fight for the freedom that literature gives us. It's so important.
"There turning the FROGS....!" lol
I loved Yvette in Community, and she does an awesome cameo as the judge in Black Lady Sketch Show. I will watch anything she’s in.
Great convo....not seen that in a long time.
Love her
You are so bright!!!! Thank you for sharing your light with the world, Yvette!
I have treasured watching talented Queens lift each other higher ~ thank You Desi !!!! What a delight
Old like me in my 70's? As a youngster, I loved the cartoons on Rocky & Bullwinkle. That show definitly was not just for kids and it taught me about humor.
Excellent delivery on the Frog and Toad joke, Des
Yvette Nicole for Prez 🎉
I’m loving Desi as host!
This was my favorite book as a kid and one of the frist I ever read by myself super excited thankyou yvette
I'd watch Desi on this show (or her interviews) any day. Keep her on the show!
More than one intellectual woman on screen wow 😯 this is too wild love it 💞
It's really about time! Love your side skits, very cool to see you at the helm. You are a great fit for the role!
Finally! I watched the first episode and I've been trying to figure out when the other episodes are coming out. I've seen multiple interviews of the cast and none of them mentioned when the new episodes were airing.
Great interview Desi
I've enjoyed YNB as an actor, but thoroughly enjoy following her on Twitter even more!
Desi needs to be the permanent host of the daily show she so deserves it 😊
Yvette is a really great speaker.
Yvette is a ray of sunshine!
Both these lady's are awesome
Why am I women empowering crying right now….. The chemistry, the LOVE, the “fangirling”. Such in awe of them both!!!!! 💞🙌🏻
I love these women. Especially Desi L. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful and smart, AND funny!
😍
the irony of exclusive streaming rights is that dope interviews like this are inevitably ads for specific streaming services
I used to think that you had to be smart to be President! 😂I totally agree with her. Love Yvette Nicole Brown . Can we just say how gorgeous she looks in this suit. Her show on Bounce is very funny. She kills the lady judge role on Black Lady Sketch Show too. Smart , elegant, classy Black Queen!👏🏽👏🏽🥰🌹🌹🌹
Regardless of who may be the future permanent host of TDS, I need the first question to Nicole Evette Brown any time she is on this show in the future to be: “Are you here to announce your candidacy for POTUS?”
“Take what you need.” And leave the rest behind.
Love her makeup 😊
Yvette Nicole Brown is such a sweet person
I didnt know about this show! Im all about Bounce...its a hidden black viewer gem. Exited to support!
Desi Lydic is phenomenal
Yvette has my vote!
I loved Frog and Toad when I was a kid. ^_^
Love this!
Aww that was so sweet
Love Yvette and Desi! Great show!
Digging these citrus colored suits
I ADORE DESI! She is so hilarious, engaging, quick, and has me thinking I could be a stepdad.
I never do this but im about to be vulnerable on the internet: I saw the recommended video and was not interested because I thought it was another "female comedian" thing. Yes. That came to my mind. As a WOMAN.
The misogyny is coming from inside tue house!
We all have to fight our own biases. I thought i knew everything that's needed to be known by a black woman myself, and im wrong, we can always learn.
Thank you Yvette Nicole. Thank you Desi ❤
I HAAAAAATE to comment on appearances but Yvette looks so effing beautiful 😭
I remember the Frog & Toad series from my childhood... Probably one of the reasons I am who I am, today...
This is one of the reasons I love TDS. They celebrate and affirm others .
Desi is "marvelously" HILARIOUS! Great job hosting!
Back about 2 years ago i rebought all of them in a pack, such wonderful memories reading them in elementary school. 😊
Awwww…that’s nice! ❤
Me saying "Oh that's nice" every 30 seconds during this.
Yvette Nicole Brown is absolutely fantastic and has perfect comedy timing.
I love Desi as the anchor. I think she's doing an amazing job. She should get it permanently.
I need that community movie now!
love the colours!
Great interview
Love Desi, Yvette, and Arnold Lobel. This is an awesome trifecta!
Yvette, so smart!
Will be in Community movie?
👏👏👏. Great guest!
Awww This is so sweet
