In airsoft if the barrel is hit the gun can’t be used until you go to spawn, but you are still alive

Update: The field manager contacted me after seeing this video, both dave and pat (the two cheaters in this video) have been banned for 6 months. Thank you to all for supporting this video. Sorry I haven't replied to the majority of the comments on this video, but I have read and agree with almost all of them. I will be posting more content in the near future.
You haven't responded to any of my direct message but I just wanted to again apologize for the behavior of my team members. They have also received an internal warning and probationary actions have been taken against them in accordance with our team rules. If they do not improve they will be removed from our team. Again sorry for you having to deal with this in this way. In the future I encourage you to come straight to me as well as let the refs know. I can put a little concern into my guys more than a sfs ref can. I hope to see you out there on the field under better circumstances.

No not at all. The only time I have ever helped out at SFS as a temporary staff member/ref was when the place was packed for the operation Iron chair event for Jaiden which was over a year ago.

The worst part of it all is at 1:28 there is a small child trying to play the game. If he sees stuff like this go down it may scare him away from the sport. I rarely see young children not call their hits, it always seems to be older men who take it way too seriously and who ruin it for the younger, inexperienced players who are trying to get into the sport. It really makes people think twice about starting airsoft with all the arguments and fights videos online. It also makes me really sad that people cant just enjoy the game with constant "call your hits" and "you didn't hit me".

I was in a situation where I was getting yelled at by some guy for apparently not calling my hits, I said he must've been dry firing or something because I didn't hear it, he said "no" and tried to shoot, there was no mag in his gun...

I prefer the 3 step system. Get caught cheating you get a warning, get caught again that day you're gone for the day and you get a warning that if it happens again after that it's a perm ban, get caught any time after that and you're permanently banned. Always give them the option to play properly.

I would love to play airsoft, but from my experience, there is at least as much if not more (usually more) cheating and cry baby BS as there is in paintball. i realize that most people in both sports try to be as honest and level headed as they can, but sometimes the cheaters/crybabies ruin it.
It depends on what kind of field you go to. The one I go to pretty much never have any cheating and I think only once there was a confrontation. The guy that got mad didn't come to anymore games and he seemed like a quite odd guy anyway. The people at our field are mostly people that got fed up with the bullshit at the other major field here. One guy decided he had seen enough bullshit and started his own field and several other "veterans" have transitioned to his field and all is well here.

Jack Pomales a former member stole the money on his own. He was thrown off the team. He was also arrested for grand larceny and is currently being prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Just so you're properly informed. As for the people in this video, they will be given internal warnings and probationary punishments as we always do with out members. Believe it or not I/we punish our member for improper behavior. 3 have been thrown off the team. Several more have been put on probation/warned. If any of you guys have a problem with any of my guys I have no issue talking to you guys between rounds. Point them out to me. Cause as you already know the refs don't/ can't do jack shit about almost anything that goes on on that field but I can correct my guys.

These are just a few examples of why I quit airsoft. It was a big part of my life for about 5 years, but I won't waste anymore money going out to events. People take the game way too seriously and have to resort to cheating in order to have fun.

One time a guy got pissed at me for saying bang bang just slightly over 5 feet and he tried to fight me, ( I was 15 at the time ) and I said no. But then the 23 year old threw his gun at me, then his helmet, forced my helmet off and took my gun and shot me right in the face 4 times. I managed to wrestle the gun off of him and I felt half of the pain because of the adrenaline rush. You should never do this, but he decided to fight me and he kicked me right in the gut and pinned me to the floor. At this time everyone was pulling him off and someone even called the cops. But I was stupid so I wrestled through the crowd and dropkicked him right in the head, and his helmet was off because he threw it at me. He was immediately knocked out, which was NOT my intention, and I was pulled back. I still have the scars, but I don't remember the punishment the man served, or if he did at all. But he had to have, right? Luckily, I didn't have to do anything because I was just defending myself.

There are game marshals here, lots of them, and they come down hard on cheaters. It's just this particular arena that's shitty.
Here in Norway we just keep the trigger down if you don't call the hit, I can't remember the last time I encountered a cheater. It's usually enough to shoot a short controlled burst in full auto.

As somebody who has never played airsoft, how likely is it that you actually just don't feel the shot? Like it seems with the super thick clothes everyone wears that it wouldnt be strange for a bb to get caught in a crease or something and never be felt at all.

I’ve only gotten mad in airsoft once. So there used to be this long hallway around the center of the cqb field I was in. (It was indoors) and all the dead people on my team have to walk through there to get to spawn the quickest. And nobody alive goes through there and every time we went through there we yell dead man walking with our hand up and there was one kid full autoing all day shooting down that hallway at dead people. And I got tired of getting shot in the back of the head so I yelled at him that he needs to either check to see if the people are dead or not or get off the field. He had been warned multiple times that day. There was a new kid on the field and he wanted to stop playing because of that guy because he shot down a the kid whenever he walked back to spawn so I was already angry before getting half a clip in my back and head respawning. But As much as you want to yell at somebody on the field. It is not your job. I should have gotten my team to speak with the ref to kick him out for the week or ban him. Bottom line it’s supposed to be a game and to have fun so getting mad like I did can happen but there are better ways to handle the situation then go yell and escalate the situation.
