- STRANGER and CRAZIER RC THINGS ! BEST COMPILATION OF RADIO CONTROL COOLEST AIRCRAFT AND VEHICLES #3
On our wide travels filming all things radio controlled at shows and events in the UK and Europe we often come across strange, weird, breathtaking and cool RC stuff. Here is a short compilation of some of those brilliant RC things we came across in 2019. Which is your favourite? Let us know in the comments. Enjoy !
Filmed at the RC shows and events around the UK and Germany by Dom Mitchell for the 'Essential RC' UA-cam channel with the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K pro camcorder.

That huge super light Corsair with the folding wings was very impressive! And after it lands the show isn't over until it folds its wings - automatically! Amazing and very well done!
Kudos to the builder and flyer!👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome scale twisting wheel-retract mechanism, too. Fantastic project!
Yes the Corsair is superb, a wonderful model build
That first video is just pure quality father son time.
“When I was your age son in order to see an aircraft fly we had to go to an airport”
The Corsair is flown so nicely. Such perfect coordinated turns ......... ☆☆☆☆☆
That was enjoyable to watch... especially the indoor RC...
The corsair, hands down winner.
That Corsair flies so realistically ! I loved it
A good hobby is its own reward - you get years of fascination, invention, problem-solving, fabrication and satisfaction - but it's even more fun when videos are uploaded to UA-cam and you get to see how other people have been spending their time. :-)
Ignore the haters, my fellow hobbyists. Or, rather, pity them; because bitterness and resentment are the only things they'll ever create.
Wow its cool
That glider was cool. I'm afraid the wake turbulence off a humming bird would cause that wing to fold up though!
An all-up weight of 10 grams. That's astonishing! You could find lift over a cup of hot coffee...
Smart kid coming up with ESCs as electromagnets to actuate the rudder, elevators and ailerons instead of servos.
I am so totally impressed.
The f4u , I haven't seen anything like that since my stoner days. 😁
The c130 turned into a bottle rocket. Nothing but grins.
Both the Corsair and the rocket-assisted C-130 were amazing!
The A380 has a skeeky little undercarriage setup....I’m amazed it lands at all! The Corsair is a masterpiece!
Dave Johnson I was surprised it had rétractable gear . Good stuff anyway
Fascinating and beautiful collection.
The glider is adorable!❤️
Even assuming a heat source, I suspect the actual glider would be the least likely to be able to thermal as it appears to have the highest wing loading of the indoor planes. The Corsair definitely could.
Amazing RC A380 By Remy RC !!
Awesome rocket assisted C-130!!!
That micro Itar glider was amazing!!!! Would love to know how to build one. I like the minimalist approach.
Awwwesome RC!
Use an Electric Coffee Maker , to create a Thermal. With the Steam.
I think the ETA glider and the Corsair were my favourites, is there any info on if the ETA is for sale?
The DMFV guys don't sell their models. I asked them a few times. Jurgen was explaining to me that individual pieces for one model can take several attempts to create from this process of thermal vacu-forming. It's just not practical to mass produce them. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
That's a shame Dom, I'm sure they'd sell a few thousand of them without even trying. I wonder if anyone from Banggood, Eachine or WLtoys have seen the ETA... 🤔
After seeing this it took me 2 days to build the ETA myself
If u want i can build u one of those eta's...i tried and was successful...
But will take some time in 3D printing...
Nice Lawnmower!
That’s crazy
Please tell me there's a place you can buy that ETA glider if you don't have time (by time I mean skill) to build one!
hello Essantial Rc I jsut want to say to yo, there is an event each year in may in France for Rc planes. The RC planes fly into the last airship hangar of 1WW. So if you want to come it's in ECAUSSEVILLE in Normandy.
PS: I love your contents :)
Thanks! Is there a website for the event? Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

This is the web site of the last year, I search for the new one.

and here is a video from the last year:

the corsair was brilliant looked to me like it was filled with helium or something to give it that liftt i saw
No helium. A lot of people think that...but it's all down to how lightly it has been built. Relative to the wing surface area it is light as a feature.
Love from India
The Airbus A380 looks terrible.
Strangest and craziest
Honestly the mechanism for that "row" boat is pretty simple. Not to mention that if each side of paddles were individually driven it would be able to spin on it's own axis. Wouldn't have to worry about turning radius at all. I see it steering much like a tank. Oh well, historical accuracy I suppose.
I'm not a huge fan of the slow indoor fliers but that Corsair is really cool. 👍
From memory the row boat was steam driven not electric so independent paddling would have been fairly complex I would have thought.
@@EssentialRC if that's the case my first thought would be something like an open diff on a car with an individual side to side braking system on the drive outputs. Imagine an automotive drive axle, steam engine powering the input and the two outputs powering either side's paddles. If you could brake each output individually you would be able to effectively steer the boat with the paddles giving a much tighter turning radius. Granted you wouldn't be able to reverse one side and rotate on the boats axis like I had first considered. Although at the time I was figuring on the model having electric drive motors. I was thinking add a second drive motor no problem. Ha ha.
for plane no.6 it sounds like mumbo jumbo is behind the camera
3:50 so hats what the lines are in the air
12:33 DID I SEE A GEE BEE

Eliab Hernández WTH?
The F4U Corsair never ever had a prop of more than 1m diameter as explained by the speeker... otherwise the original would have needed a 4m diameter prop....
You know the corsair had a 13ft 4 inch prop right.... (4.06 meters) that's one of the primary reasons for the gull wing, to keep that massive prop off the ground without having stupidly long landing gear
The corsair had a huge prop. That's what necessitated the inverted gull wings.
@@roadsweeper1 Hey, you're right, I didn't know that. But Form the Video, would you think that the model had a 1m prop?
@@pascalfust1035 could be. Difficult to tell. 40mm blades with a 20mm spinner... yeah could be a meter diameter blade. Although tbh prop blades on models are often smaller than scale. They dont have the same weight to drag into the sky. But he could be using a larger blade at low revs
🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽ปป
Guy could put 6s in that boat and atleast make things interesting.. yawn........
Hmmm... Scale model, scale speed? I don't think those old guys were into waterskiing or wake-boarding...
"Whoa! Captain! Du-u-u-de! You've like, totally trashed my GoPro!"
Scale replication means building it like the inventor intended but miniaturized. That's skill and art in of itself.
@@ajfvajf5 i get scale stuff I do scale crawlers, it's a joke cuz sorry but boring is still boring. It's almost if nobody can take a joke anymore these days.
@@EleanorPeterson it's a joke bro I build scale crawlers so calm down I'd just assume people could understand the joke but o how I'm wrong.
Not many people know this but the ac-130 with the rocket assisted launch has an actual real life counterpart which was used for vtol purposes
I think you mean STOL. Wouldn't want to rake off vertically in that. 😀
And I'm pretty sure the STOL design never saw actual use outside of testing as it was very dangerous. It was drummed up rather quickly for a hostage rescue situation but it didnt work out.
TheCalbert They crashed it before they could use it. But if they did use it it would have been one for the history books!
Corsair was awesome
If it’s powered it’s not a glider
